I woke up today and like always immediately opened up league and started playing. after about 6 or 7 games when i got back to my home screen i got an error message saying something went wrong, to restart the client and if the problem persisted to contact the support team, nothing out of the ordinary. its happened before and its not a big deal, shockingly to me when i went to log back in my account had apparently been permanently banned. this made absolutely no sense to me as my account has never even been chat restricted before, let alone banned for any amount of time. the error message on the log in screen prompted me to check my email registered to the account for more details. so naturally i did, trying to figure out what exactly happened. even more to my amazement, when i got onto my email, no such email had ever been sent. i never received a single piece of mail illustrating how and why my account has been banned. i have had this account for just about 4 years now, i have spent unbeknownst amounts of money on skins, runes, etc. but more importantly (to me at least) are my 30 level 5 champions, and the fact that i own every champion in the game, without ever spending rp on something other than a skin. I consider myself a completionist so i have been damn proud of that feat for some time now. if i had received warnings, or even a lesser ban in the first place, my behavior would have undoubtedly changed in game. i love this game and i love everything i have achieved in it, i would never permanently jeopardize that (no matter how hard that teemo is feeding up top). anyone and everyone that can offer some insight would be greatly valued. i understand and take responsibility for my past actions, and i accept whatever consequences those actions have cost me. but permanently banning my account out of nowhere instead of giving me a 1 day, 3 day, or even week long suspension seems a little ludacris to me. please help.

Then submit a support ticket, and ask what the ban was for. When they respond, feel free to update us. Maybe we'll take you seriously at that time.

I would submit a support ticket. The only time things are immediately escalated to permabans are when it's really toxic, cheating, or account sharing

Did you let any of your friends/siblings play on your account last fall by any chance?

Yeah a couple of my friends from college would play on my account if they were over at my place but that was last year.

$20 says one of them was scripting on your account and you got banned for scripting or account sharing.

i dont think so, guess it could be possible, but theres just no way they wouldve done that.

That's what 99% of people say who got caught scripting or who had friends get them banned or who paid elo boosters and then got banned.

Well theres a reason that number isnt 100% right? i can assure you and anyone else that thinks that its not true. ive been in bronze and silver my entire ranked careeer so elo booster is out of the question lol, my friends dont script, and even if they did, they wouldnt do it when theyre trying to play 1 quick game on somebody elses acount before they head out to class because i lived so close to campus. if there were mistakes made then it happened, and i just want them fixed.

I've seen plenty of elo boosting bans for bronze accounts. Wait for the response to the ticket, then please, let us know the outcome.

dont listen to this guy he harrassed my forum post just report everything he says and submit a ticket to riot about what happened they might be able to help you but dont count on it. It clearly states in the TOS that Riot doesnt even need a reason to perma ban you they can just do it cuz they dont like you if they wanted no matter how much money you spent on them. this game is a joke to be honest youd be better off playing smite or some other moba that cares about its players and just about scamming people out fo their money

That's weird. Usually, there is a date and the year is a code that can sometimes tell what it was for. You will just have to wait for a response to your ticket.

part of the reason im freaking out so hard haha. i just want information on what happened. ive spent more hours playing league than anything else in my life these last two years, and if all of that work is gone, i at least want a damn good explanation.

Without any more information, my best guess is some kind of payment issue. If a payment doesn't go through or there is a chargeback they will suspend accounts indefinitely until the balance is paid.

Goto https://repay.leagueoflegends.com/ does it say you have a balance?

thats exactly what it is! i am so relieved haha. i was using my dads credit card around christmas time and he isnt the msot tech literate person in the world so when he saw the charge from riot he was probs like wtf and called it into his bank not knowing what it was lololol. thank you so much, i love you, saved me from crying myself to sleep every night.

Riot perma bans people who buy a lot of stuff on the game skins and champs so you get another account and spend the money they know they have a good product and you are going to come back so they are going to exploit you.
