Name and Shame

I'm sorry, but this is a ridiculous rule. If someone enters a lobby or a game and states intent to feed/troll/throw the game, they deserve every single bit of hatemail they get. They're not in danger; all we have is a summoner name. You want to make it easier to track down the trolls? Throw them straight into the limelight and drop that perma-ban hammer. WEED OUT THE CRAP, RIOT.

Not everything is true though.

I had a fiddle today that entered a lobby already titled, he said something along the lines of. "If anyone is gonna fu%#%n waste my time, then just dodge" One of our teammates locked in morgana top, he wasn't too happy about. He literally flame all game. She got autofilled, I'd rather have her on a champ she does play than one she doesnt. She did pretty good considering that she got camped top all game, with the fiddle flaming her but doing nothing about it. I did things botside since I was mid and we won. Morg only died twice in lane, never solo-killed, and got ganked repetitively

In that fiddle's mind, morgana was trolling. To everyone else on the team, fiddle was just flaming for no reason. A person like that fiddle could make a post about the morgana throwing and trolling but it just wouldn't be true. A person shouldn't have to come onto the boards to defend themselves against random attacks and hatemail lol.

Use the report system to weed them out.

I did a little bit of math at the problem in this thread: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/aNcIbux3-since-riot-wont-deal-with-the-trolls-ill-do-it-by?comment=0007

Long story short: It'd be remarkably time consuming to keep an updated public list, it'd be remarkably expensive to maintain an updated public list, it'd also be remarkably useless.

So we should just do away with any standards and be able to talk garbage about any summoner?

My last game with you, you said in all chat that you "ate only nerf tennis balls for second breakfast" and you admitted that "I'm the primary reason Winds of Winter hasn't been released."

No, there's absolutely no way naming and shaming could get ridiculously out hand.

The reason it's not allowed is not only because of the potential to start witch-hunts but also because there's no real way of knowing whether the name and shamer is actually speaking the truth or not. For all we know they could be starting a witch-hunt against a player who didn't give into their trolling demands and is just making stuff up to get revenge on that player because of it. Basically it exists to prevent innocent players from being ganged up on unnecessarily.

Just use the in-game reporting system and/or file a Support Ticket about a potential problem player if need be. If that player has a history of acting up and is consistently reported for it then they will eventually be punished.

I had to play with an ammumu top named teemingboss0557, and he took smite so at first I thought he was going jg, so I told him that he was top since I already called jungle, to no reply. I thought that he didn't get the message, so I told him several more times, to which he was like "f*cking shut up." In the game, he stole my jungle camps, kept insulting me, even when I was carrying the team. He even told the enemy team "yi keeps coming top and steals my cs" even when the only time I came top was to gank a 2 people enemy top. In addition, he /she said that I was supposedly "toxic" and to report me, and that I was stealing kills and I was trash. Even worse, the enemy lux sided with the ammumu, and called me a retard. I feel so frustrated..

Well, naming and shaming yourself is always allowed on the boards. But... I see you've already done that...
