Hey everyone I recently got a chat ban, which I know i deserved for being king of toxic at the beginning of a game. Since the whole team reported be I was doing very bad at the beginning, and got salty and was flamed by my teammates. I know I deserve the ban, but I had people on my team flame me and they were being much more toxic, and I reported them thinking for sure they would get banned. I know I was being toxic, but I thought my team mates would be reported as well. One Ashe told me this."ARE YOU A FUCKING BLIND TURTLE.", "YOU RETARD", " DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE FUCK UR DOING." I thought to my self if I'm gonna get a chat ban for flaming then this guy will for sure get one to. Nope. Nothing happens, just like many other games I've played where toxic kids will call me the N word, or to lynch my self, and just due to the fact that I was the only one who reported and the rest of the team didn't I think that the reports don't take affect, but when multiple people do then the reports go through even if you're nearly as toxic as other people. These are just my thoughts and I feel like it is very unfair I got a chat ban and this ashe didn't.

You have a source for the other player not getting a chat restriction?

The Instant Feedback System treats everyone the same, so if he acted as bad as you as consistently as you then he got a chat restriction just like you.

Here's how the system works: First, it goes through an automatic system. This system determines whether or not it thinks you should be punished, but it's not the final say. It runs through all the chat logs from that game as well as other factors, which includes how often you are being reported. If you're being reported too often and it thinks that the reports are warranted, it sends the report through to Riot, where a Rioter reviews the case and makes the final decision as to whether or not you should be punished. If he does, the punishment is decided based on how many times you have been punished by the system in the past. It takes a few months for it to drop down each of the different tiers of punishment. It typically first gives a warning, then a chat restriction, then a 2 week ban, and finally a permaban.

I actually once got a 2 week ban with no prior punishments. This was back in season 1, when we were under the Tribunal system. Literally all I did was play a PvP game before I was ready, feed, and say "gg ez" after I got carried. And to think, back then that got me a 2 week ban with no prior punishments! Today, that kind of thing is absurdly common!
