Getting tired of AFK players keeping me in Bronze.

I've lost a number of games in a row because someone afks in the middle of the game, especially when we are WINNING. The matchmaking keeps giving me afk players and I've been demoted twice from it. I haven't won a ranked game in 2-3 days because of it, how do you expect me to get out of bronze division when it's 4v5 every god damn game?? It's entirely out of my hands and yet I'm getting punished for it. The regular seasons going to start up and even if I win all of my placement you can beat your ass it'll place me back in bronze 4 cause that's apparently how good I am when it's not. Why am I getting punished for things other players are doing??

If AFKs are really the thing keeping you in bronze, you should probably AFK a lot less.

AFK's suck, nobody with a brain would disagree with that sentiment.

That being said, if you can't escape Bronze that's on you because you can carry in Bronze from any role including support.

I just now noticed that after you pointing it out... Uh... Yeah... Wow.

I am a scrub Riven player right now, but I practice her mechanics in bots FIRST before I DARE take her into any normal or ranked match. But taking TITANIC HYDRA?!

I'm unranked due to not feeling confident enough to take what I do know into ranked games. If I feel somewhat confident I will go into norms to try and improve myself by going against players since its one of the best ways to improve. I do plan to eventually go into ranked probably in Season 6.

well, when you do decide to go into ranked, good luck :-)

and since you're sort of new (i looked up your profile and you only have ~100 normal wins) don't feel bad if you end up bronze, 99% of us were in bronze at one point in time.

my advice for someone starting ranked would be to play safe, focus on farm, harass the enemy laner if you can but try to be able to do it without losing farm, and learn when you can win trades. practice that kind of stuff in norms and it will get you really far.

if you learn your matchups with specific champs and learn when you will be at an advantage or disadvantage (ie if you main someone like tryn who is autoattack based, you should know that you're at a disadvantage laning against jax, who has an autoattack dodge), it will help you a lot. in low elo don't worry so much about counterpicking, just play champs you're good at rather than champs you don't know so well but someone told you once that they counter the enemy laner. if you know you're countered, just play safer, and focus on farming.

and DON'T FIGHT 4V5. all of those things alone will probably get you out of bronze. tbh just practice farming every once in a while and you're already better than 90% of bronze players

I don't mind you looking me up. Its fine. I KNOW I can improve in areas and I try to honestly. Sometimes it can be difficult though. XD Especially when you face champions that you haven't really seen played before or just don't know them well, or even dont know jack squat about. Like getting wrecked by a Talon when I'm trying to start practicing against players with Yasuo ... It was my first time facing a Talon before, it did not end well. =/ I went 0/8/1. [zombie-nunu-tears]

You know its possible to win 4v5 right? I've done it several times even if our teammate was AFK from the beginning. Just ignore the fact that you are 4v5 and play more carefully and most importantly, play smart. Don't get caught and just wait for the enemy team to make a mistake.

You're bronze. Anyone who isn't bronze is better than you, including unranked.

Considering that u are bronze,majority of people are better thsn u. If u cant beat bunch of bronzes 4v5 then u arent as skilled as u think u are

People going AFK are annoying. Report them. They'll be dealt with.

But if you really want to improve your rank and avoid AFKs at the same time, make your own teams with people you know do not go AFK.

It's really possible to climb out. Just focus on improving, and you will. I'm the rank I am because I haven't improved enough to climb out. Chill and play. It's just a game. :)
