PSA: If you do not see https:// while logging into league website, do not login

Some random person on my friend's list tried to get me to use this link (removed) to "vote" for him so I can receive a free league skin. Now, obviously, I am not inclined to accept free things without knowing all the details so I clicked his link to learn more. By the way, PLEASE do not login with that link.... unless you really want to lose your account. Making this post as a PSA (public service announcement) to help prevent further phishing attempts by other people on anyone else's friend's list. I am blocking the one that sent me this. As evidence, here is the chat log:

Please remember that Riot employees will never ask for your password when assisting you. 12/31/2015 [1:09PM] Dawgmar: hello hello [1:09PM] Maestro del Liga: hi [1:10PM] Dawgmar: would you like to get ahppey new year skin now ?? [1:10PM] Maestro del Liga: this is Zac ya? [1:10PM] Dawgmar: want zac skin ??? [1:11PM] Maestro del Liga: prefer maybe lee [1:11PM] Dawgmar: ok but vote me here to sent skin (removed)

He logged off before I could reply, just beware fellow league players alike.

Please remove the link, so that other players don't click it.

EDIT: You only removed one instance of the link, the other one is still there at the bottom of the chat log.

By the way, that link is barely phishing seeing as it is a blatantly clear spam link. Not only does it have no references to League of Legends' website or Riot Games, but it uses an extremely questionable domain and a weird extension. It's also important to note that the "friend" of yours used basically unintelligible English, which is another strong sign that it's a completely illegitimate and lowgrade effort to steal your account.

Tip: Do not ever, ever write "PSAs" if you happen to be stupid and give harmful advice and post malicious links!

I swear to god I'm slightly dyslexic. I just read that as "Riot employees will never ask for your password when arresting you ..... Oh I didn't have any thoughts I just thought that misread was funny... ........ ............ Why are you still reading this?
