I think my ban is unfair

I was recently issued a 14-day suspension for toxicity in a ranked game. I did say some mean stuff but I do not feel that I deserved a 14-day suspension. After I logged in to receive my reform card, I saw that the person that I was arguing against also got banned. This is the first time I have had anything happen to me based on toxicity. Is there any way that I can get unbanned before the 14-day period? before the degens come in and say "u said bad word" I think contextually you weren't using it in any bad intent, and if you request to see a player support specialist and clarify that you have a shot at a lesser restriction. gl bud

I don't think any company in Riot's shoes is interested in fucking around with excusing hate speech based on context. Without even getting into the morality, that's just a grey-area rabbit hole that would cause widespread rule confusion, and encourage appeals for virtually anybody who ever gets punished for using it.

There simply is no appropriate context for this sort of talk in a game of League.

no appropriate context? really? from what it seems, a teammate was getting tilted from another teammate and OP was literally asking why he is so tilted from 1 word and then corrects it after misspelling.

As stated, NO BAD INTENT.
It wasn't encouraging negativity, hate speech, or anything of the such-just a question.

Do they release a list of acceptable contexts in which hate speech is allowed? Do they take the man-hours to evaluate every instance of hate speech? Do they utterly remove the ban on hate speech?

These are simply not workable solutions. If Riot is committed to providing a gaming experience without hate speech, there cannot be an acceptable context for hate speech. Intent cannot be reliably interpreted through the written word in these instances, and the potential for abuse when grey areas are allowed is massive.

Simple, remove the bot. That's what I've been advocating from the start, as I believe player review is much more reliable-if you don't agree, that's fine.

If Riot genuinely wanted a game without hate speech, they shouldn't even allow a player to hit enter if a blacklisted word is in it. Player support specialists exist for a reason, and circumstantially change punishments if they believe they aren't proper, essentially human review. I think this guy has a shot at a reduction.

Please elaborate on how in any sense I'm trolling? I'm stating valid points? I'm more than open for criticism but blatently stating that "I'm a troll" with no actual indication of what I'm doing wrong is purposeless. What's a better way of removing hate speech then not letting people say it in the first place? Using your own logic of assumption you're advocating for hate speech, and since hate speech isn't allowed, you deserve an instant ban. Jokes aside, do explain how my points in my previous post are at all trolling.

Hate speech is defined as stating something that attacks a group in a discriminatory fashion. What he did was not that. He didn't attack anyone. Read the damn logs.

I did "read the damn logs". He was trying to contextualize a homophobic slur, which is in and of itself a form of hate speech. It's unnecessary and harassment.

Retard and fa%%%% are trigger words atm. They consider the latter homophobic and will result in an automatic 14 day ban.

Hint: If the chat filter in the forums censors the word, then the word is considered hate speech by Cryptic and will get you banned if you use it in the game. There are two cases of that in your chat log.

You were also fairly negative, but that in itself won't jump you to a suspension right away. But now that you have a suspension, negativity like that will earn you a permaban. Try to stay entirely positive (or just don't use chat) from now on.

Hate speech is part of the zero tolerance system, when found guilty with the usage of it, it is a 14 day ban for first punishment.
