I moved to rural Wisconsin and my only internet access is through my phone. I gave my account to my sister and haven't played in almost 2 years. I just got an email saying my sister's alt account was banned for mmr boosting an account that now belongs to her. Bang up job there, you really helped to fix your ranking "system".

is it really against the rules to give someone your account if youre not gonna play anymore, hes not just gonna ask riot to terminate his account, and why would he leave it to collect dust.

Is there any reason for that? its not like he had any ranked games previously and if it wasn't stolen, why wouldn't they just let them have the account.

The small number of cases where it would be acceptable to share/trade are not worth the work and effort for Riot to sift through all the people trying to use those reasons as an excuse.

Chermorg4 votesIt does suck for some people who may legit just wanna give it to their brother (and avoid having to make their brother repurchase skins and stuff), but there's no real way for Riot to determine intent in sharing/transferring accounts, nor is there a way for Riot to ensure an account is transferred for free :/

LostFr0st3 votesIt was most likely banned since it changed hands. Sharing accounts or gifting accounts is also against the TOS.
The boards also can't do anything about this. The only way to talk about it would be to contact player support through a ticket.
