Hi guys,

Let me start off with I am a very friendly dude. I'm always the first to greet in lobbies, and always try to make good conversation/pre-game motivational speeches.

I've received two mutes and now a 14-day suspension for dealing with trolls. One game example: ranked, Cait bot/Lux mid duo, I go to gank, gank gets turned around and we die. Lux starts flaming me immediately, calling me bronze/bad/etc and telling me to kill myself. Muted him. Cait then proceeds to follow me into the jungle after they pushed their turret, takes jungle monsters/buffs from me, and keeps harassing, calling names, etc. I eventually told him he was an asshole and told him I was going to report him, and then I got muted and that game was used as the example why. Srs?

Second mute. Get bad jungle WW who kept trying to counter jungle and was getting killed (I think he was 0/4 at 8mins), I told him verbatim "stop trying to counter jungle, clear your jungle and gank for your team" and he started flaming me. Kept doing it all game. I told him he obviously didn't know what he was doing and we lost. Got muted for 25-games.

These were a few weeks ago. Fastforward to today, got kicked out in a ranked queue for 14-day suspension. I haven't been swearing as much but I have been trying to guide people (ie. "please stop trying to 1v1 and cs under turret until we can gank), and putting them in their place when they react like dickheads. So my question is, how is it fair that we as players get suspended when people are being toxic assholes in the first place and it puts us over the edge? I understand the "two rights don't make a wrong" type of argument, but when someone provokes you, of course you're going to react that way. People recommend muting, but sometimes people need guidance, don't know how to use pings well, don't even watch for pings and etc. Sometimes you need a good old "STOP LANING AND GROUP" to convince someone to leave their turret at 32mins.

I shouldn't have to mute others because they're socially stupid and don't know how to say things besides "kill yourself" or play normal roles (just had an Illaoi supp the game before I got suspended. Told him not to do it, did it anyway, went 0/10/9, blamed us for his stupid shit).

Let me tell how this dumb system works, In your example:

You used the word ''Asshole''
You said you are going to report him

Second mute is impossible for you to get reported and take a punishment that way if you haven't said broke any summoner code.

I know the feeling, My main account got on a 2 week suspension, I never touched that account again being scared that I would get permanently banned If I become toxic, So I created this account and so far didn't get any chat restriction on this account for months.

Game one:

Report him, please thanks
Because you're bad. We told you not to Illaoi support and you did anyway.

Those 2 sentences are the reason. According to Riot Games, Telling in Chat to ''Report this person'' or ''I will report you'' is considered offensive.

I don't blame you though, Although what Riot Games wants us to do at these moments is, Be the mature person and use the power of muting them, Collect pieces of your mind, Shut yourself from the outside world and fully immerse into the match and beat your opponents.

It'll be hard at first, Trying not to tell the toxic players anything, Like your shackled with millions of chains and it's slowly sucking the fun out of you, But You'll get used to it & it will make you a better person. I say this from experience. Love your name Mosh Warrior.

You harassed illaoi literally all game. Yeah you don't have to swear if you spend 20+ min (and I assume this started in pick/ban lobby) harassing a person they will likely report you. Illaoi probably reported you, you've had multiple chat restrictions and you are not showing any real reform.

If you really are as nice as you claim to be then you have to understand something, retaliation is not a valid way of defending yourself. You're defending yourself when you're going out of your way to avoid yourself from being hurt, or hurt more, not when you're trying to hurt someone else in kind. "An eye for an eye" is supposed to be a limiting phrase, not a call to arms. They will get the punishment they deserve, all you have to do is wait and let the system do it's job.

I'm not saying you went at them with the same level of vitriol they were throwing their way, but when it comes to the rules the level of toxicity in your behavior rarely matters when deciding if you were or were not behaving in a negative way.

EDIT: Your chat log shows you arguing. Was the argument absolutely, 100% necessary for the victory of that game? Or was it you venting in chat and unloading your own frustrations on your team, who have their own frustrations to deal with? That is negative behavior, and negative behavior is punishable according to the rules.

No. You claim this is an inevitable outcome, but it's really not. The majority of people who play this game, as of the last time Riot shared the statistics on punishments, have the self control to not be provoked often enough to warrant a punishment. If these punishments are hitting you all of a sudden then perhaps you should take a step back and ask yourself why you are reacting more forcefully to these people than usual.

People recommend muting, but sometimes people need guidance, don't know how to use pings well, don't even watch for pings and etc. Sometimes you need a good old "STOP LANING AND GROUP" to convince someone to leave their turret at 32mins.

As the old saying goes "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". Sometimes people do indeed need guidance, but if they are unwilling to listen to you there is literally nothing positive you can do for them. Just keep an eye on your temper and don't mistake being retaliatory for being forceful when making calls.

These kinds of punishments are easily avoided if you are watching your own behavior and don't let trolls or flamers get under your skin. When simple self control isn't enough to keep your head level that is the time to make liberal use of the mute button, and is usually time to take a break from playing to cool off.

You shouldn't have to mute others, but that doesn't place the guilt of your own actions on anyone but yourself. Good luck keeping your cool in game, you're account's at the end of the punishment list so hopefully you won't need it.

well you're toxic that much is obvious from your post alone and even in your first 5 lines i already see a reason for a punishment congrat for the 2 week bans keep it up you're heading straight for that wall. i won't stop you en joy the ride while it last.

No blowing up, no threats, etc. ONLY me telling them what I said in the pre-game chat, that Illaoi supp isn't viable and not to do it. I did Braum jungle and did actually play to win, but our team got rekt.

Lmao why do kids type so much in game? So annoying to see posts like these and they question their ban and they have a wall of useless in game chat that only contributes to their toxicity.
