Is /remake a good idea

I just joined a ranked game on a new computer. My champion loaded to 100% but i was not entered into the game. I quickly restarted the game and was thrown in at exactly the 3 minute mark. /remake then activated and i lost the game, the lp, and i got put on 20 minute queues. If it weren't for /remake I definitely could have won the game or at least avoided the penalty. Many people have loading problems and I feel that /remake is too harsh and too quick too punish. Its this kind of new mechanism that makes me not want to even try playing league.
