Thanking an enemy player for AFK'ing

Why do people in this community thank players for AFK'ing and not reporting? I just had my second game of the day where an enemy player refused to report our team's AFK player and instead thanked them for the free win. Do these people not realize that the whole reason is to get rid of players like this from the game? Pathetic really

you do realise that if every afk, toxic, troll got perma ban riot would lose more than half of their customers (cause free game my ass, we all buy skins)

What does it matter? Your team will report the afk and leaver buster will detect anyway. He will get what is comming to him.

Should they have reported your teammate that left? Probably yeah, but it's up to them if they want to or not.

What's more important, though, is if you report the leaver. If you want someone to be reported for whatever reason, then just report them yourself. A single report in one game holds just as much weight as multiple reports in a one game. This is because the system doesn't look at the raw number of reports a player receives, but rather the percentage of games that player has been reported in.

Also, AFAIK, Leaverbuster is able to catch and punish players without anyone reporting them. So reports against AFKs/leavers aren't completely necessary, though I'm pretty sure they do help.
