Banned for 2 weeks even at honor 5

Well this just happened. Recently got banned after I had gotten tilted during a game. People were criticizing my score (Heimer ARURF against a Veig) and I criticized theirs. They made it personal, and so did I. I'm not saying I should not be punished, but I feel like a 14 DAY suspension is a bit much for 1 game where I tilted. As the post title states, I am(was) honor level 5 and was for quite a while. I haven't gotten any reports or warnings for about a year now and my one and only other warning was regarding this same offence. I don't understand why they are punishing me so harshly when I usually never tilt or flame, I haven't been reported(not that I know of) in just about a year and other than that one warning, haven't had any other offences, and to top it all off I'm honor 5. Is there any way I can get my "sentence" lessened?

if you used hate speech, racism or encouraged others to harm themselves, that is a direct 14-day ban offense.

If that is what you did then you should be glad that you didn't get directly permabanned.

i don't know where this fantasy was born out of (probably ignorance) but there is literally no connection between your honor level and your probability to get punished for toxicity

honor is just eye candy. like mastery points

Pretty sure Riot has zero tolerance for direct threats of any means. The fact that they caught you doing that while you're at lvl5 honor makes me feel like they're doing something right. Just because you have lvl5 honor, doesn't mean you have the ability to be toxic, even if it's just for one game. I just hope the person initiating the flame gets an equal or just sentence as well. Riot support tickets are your best road for this issue.

Depends. Did you use hate speech or encourage self harm? That is a direct 14 day ban. If you didn't chat logs would help.

OP, you have admitted this is the second time you got banned for the same thing. Feel lucky you don't have a permanent ban.
