What Really Ruins League of Legends

It's not toxic players.

It's the players that cause them to be toxic such as Feeders, AFKer's, Trolls, people who go sona, get pulled by blitz and give up first blood, then are 0-3-0 at 5:44 into match, and players that just genuinely don't really belong in ranked and ruin people's ranked experience or make unfair matches.

How can riot tell me the ranked system is fair when I'm in my promos dropping 30 kills and 17 assists losing because 5v4, then not even given a fair chance at a real match because top lane is 0-4 vs Garen and bot lane is 0-8 vs vayne and blitz. meanwhile I'm mid lane 1-0-0.

It's not the toxic community. It's the players who know they arent good enough to be in ranked and just troll, or buy gold accounts or get boosted to silver and troll... its so frustrating.

my rant is over, thank you.

If you can't handle your anger healthily, I don't want you in my games. The toxic players are the problem. They need to get over themselves and learn not to let things get to them. Frankly, I find it ironic that the people who tell everyone "grow some thicker skin" or "just deal with it" are the ones who actually do need to learn to let things go.

Have you never played against a team that had an AFK or someone having a bad game like the one you described? I imagine you only recall the few time when it happens on your team (made more salient when it happens during promos) than all the other times it happens in your advantage.

Ranked has divisions. The people in each division are people of generally equal skill. So what does that say about yourself when you're shit-talking your fellow division Ranked players?

You are absolutely right, it is unfair. It is also why I left ranked to head into normal and casual games, like the weekend rotating queues.

I mean, no game can be fair when smurfs exist and are legal and even encouraged. Plat/diamond players going on bronze accounts and leveling their friends through dynamic queue is legal, although it should NOT be, but I don't believe we'll ever see a day when that gets banned.

My advice to you is to do what many people I know and I myself have done: Leave ranked to the wannabe pros, and just have fun in casual games. Remember what it was like to have fun and try new builds and enjoy time with friends, because ranked is pretty much the anti-thesis of all of those things.

No... It's the horrible balance. It's the new champions being all skillshots and delayed abilities, but the old ones having instant targeted disables, free mobility, gap closers, and instant death combos that are just point and click.

The game is not fair. It's incredibly aggressive, kill-focused, and only feeds players' hate for each other. Everyone stomps each other into the dirt, even teammates. Nothing is fun. The whole game is not fun anymore.

You're only rewarded for choosing OP champions.

This is what causes toxicity. The game.

Everyone belongs in ranked. Thats why we have divisions.

If you were good enough, nothing would hold you back from climbing.

I agree behaviors cause a lot of the verbal exchanges that people make into such a big deal.

As far as ranked gameplay goes, before S6 it was self-normalizing. Low silver/high bronze was probably the most toxic, but you'd fall or climb out and it would be fine for the most part, once you got away from all the re-rolled accounts, etc.

This season pretty much anything goes
