First Time I Get Banned Is A 14 Day Ban

I recently got banned for toxic communication in a normal game. Now I'm not saying i was justified or not toxic but I have been playing this game for 2.5-3 years and i have not ever been banned nor have I ever received LPQ. But after this game one player who was being what I perceived to be just as toxic reported me and I did not bother to report him. 5 minutes later I am banned for 14 days. This is my first instance of being toxic and now you are telling me the next instance could be a perma ban. I fee like this is extremely harsh especially 90% of what i said that game was in response top the other player being toxic as well. This game as I look back on what i said has what i believe to be 4 lines of toxic behavior and I apologize and I understand kys is a very harsh this to say. However, the player I was talking to was spam pinging me throughout the entire game, asking for the other player to buy him a skin, attempting to steal my jungle camps, and picking me out saying things such as "bad jg" "usless Kha". I understand reactions like this are not justified and I should have just muted the player and finished the game honorably. But a 14 day ban after a history of being an honorable player and being one for the first players that I saw to receive honor lvl 3 even among streamers made me feel like this ban unfair. On my personal bias I would say I should not have been banned at all, but reflecting on my communicaiton this game I would understand a 1-2 day ban or a chat restriction for 10-20 games. However, for my first offence, no history of being dishonorable, and only 4 lines of toxicity a 14 day ban seems unjustified.

Encouraging self-harm ("kys") is treated the same as hate speech: zero tolerance, and a 14-day ban in the first offense. It's considered entirely unacceptable behavior.

I was gifted Arclight Vel'Koz by a player who literally killed himself about six months later. Makes me sad every time I see it. That shit is fucking serious, man.

Not to mention I skipped the first 2 warnings that riot normally gives players for being toxic.

I am just concerned how it went to a 14 day ban right away. I would have changed my behavior if they gave me the normal order which is 10 games chat ban, 20 games chat ban, 14 day ban, perma ban. Instead riot skipped those previous tiers.

So someone flamed you and your response is flame back, that's not a justified reason to believe you don't deserve it.

And you've been flaming enough to get a 14 day ban.... you don't get random 14 days after only one game unless you were using hate speech.

Well you did say "kys" that could be it. I'm pretty sure you're normally toxic though.

I understand what you mean by saying I deserve the ban for saying kys and I never said that I thought what I said was acceptable. But what I am arguing is that this one game gave me a 14 day ban. I am not normally that toxic at least I believe so because all I play is ranked and the only times I type in ranked is gj or wp.

I feel this way because I have received a lot worse "flame" in this game and reported people who have not been banned. I see kys in probably 50% of ranked games so I apologize but I underestimated how serious people take it.

They have escalated punishments for hate speech and encouraging to self harm. I know suicide may not be a problem for you, but you have no idea what the other people are going through across the screen.

You mention in particular ping spamming. Are you aware of ping muting? This can be found on the scoreboard.

Some times 14 day bans are really random. I remember when riot implemented their new tribunal system back in 2015 and were throwing 14 day bans left and right. I had an account in level 15 with no previous toxicity and the worst thing I did was call a riven player in my team a fucking scrub. And I got an instant 14 day ban. For some reason though they removed the ban after 5 days and sent an email saying they had made a mistake. So apperently you can get unbanned lol

You are on the last step now. That KYS stuff escalated to the 14 day ban which is normal. The next thing which is considered as flame will get you a perma ban.

Threatens or harm inflicting comments are instant 14 days ban at least. Depending on circumstances it might even be a perma ban without previous warning.
