Best way to tell a teammate they are carrying smite while not in the jungle role

I have no problem with double smite if the non-jungle player is carrying it for a reason but I always like to make sure they didn't just forget to update their summoner spells from last game. What do you think it the best way to make sure this person knows they are carrying smite with the lowest possibility of that person getting angry?

"X, you have smite"

simply ask them if they are taking smite @lane.

Even if they accidentally take it, there's value in getting it

If you want to be extra safe make it sound like you're merely casually commenting on their intention to bring it to lane: "Ah, I've heard smite on lane is a valid strat. If you don't mind me asking, how is it working out for you?"

  • Usually people answer direct questions no matter what.
  • Casual conversations usually makes the team less tense.
  • Possibly reminds them of changing their summoner spells.

Best way to do this is to say check summoners masteries and runes. That way you don't tilt anyone for calling them out.

I've had kids get pissed when bugged about their summoners they were gonna change and throw because of it. Best to do it indirectly.

Some people take smite, because the junglers in lower elo are usually always dum dum's, and Never take green smite when its better than "Red" or "Blue" and benefits the whole team?
