CHAT BAN FOR NO OBVIOUS REASON ? IS IT FAIR? IF I REPORT WORSE CHAT RECORDS WILL THEY GET BANNED?

So as in the subject following. I got chat ban for no acual reason, I don't think it was verbal or negative. I didn't make a screenshoot with the chat displaying, and i don't know how to find it now. So if you can tell me how to check the chat i got banned for I can post it here.

But, following the fair standards. If i post worse conversations than mine, will they get immediately banned?

It sounds fair, right? I got banned for no flamming or so. So If i post screenshoots of someone having a worse chat history than me they should be banned right? It does follow common sense right?

They claimed there is no reason for them to get a chat restriction in their title. You don't get a chat restriction, a 14 day ban, or even a permanent ban without a reason.

If their chat logs are clean I would legitimately suggest them putting in a support ticket to have it double checked.

Alright! Congratulations! You read the title. Did you read the rest of the post or did you just gloss over that too?

If their chat logs were clean, then the OP would have absolutely no problem posting them for us so we can see that in fact they were clean as well. Oh, but wait! You missed the part where the OP said that he forgot to screenshot it so he could share with the rest of PB. Therefore that guarantees that the OP doesn't really know if his chat log was clean or not.

The OP clearly was asking for a way to bring back his chat logs so he/she/it could post it. Your comment was clearly not very helpful in getting the OP the help he needed to be able to post the chat logs for the rest of PB to see and potentially help the OP to identify exactly why the OP received a chat restriction.

No, if you're not reporting in the game, then they get away scott free. That's on you. You got busted because someone else reported your behavior. Posting other players on the forums will result in your boards account getting punished as this is against the Universal Rules of Name and Shame.

If you need a recap on what got you chat restricted, I'm pretty sure sending a ticket to Player Support might get you straightened out if all you want is the chat log for the game(s) that got you a chat restriction.

Asking politely for them will go a long way in getting what you need right away. Arguing the restriction will probably get you nowhere though.

OH, so if some premade team report me, and I will get chat banned for no obvious reason IT WILL BE FINE. But If I will post some 10x worse chats It won't get me to anywhere? SEEMS FAIR 100%

That isn't what was said at all.

You misbehaved, and you got reported for it. Given your history, a punishment was issued.

If you report others and they misbehaved and they have a history of misbehaving, they will be punished as well.

So let's say we're playing 5 vs 5 flex, and 5 of enemy team gank up on me, just to report me even tho i didn't say anything wrong. This happens once, and then again in next game. I will get chat ban, how is this fair conduct?

If you did not say anything wrong, it does not matter how many players report you. You can be reported by every other player in the game but if you didn't misbehave you will not get punished.

You're right. It is fair 100%. There are tools that could easily fool those who aren't proficient in detecting Photoshopped or otherwise edited screenshots. I could post one of you right now if I really wanted to. What does something like that serve for the community? A witch hunt on anyone and everyone with loads of fake "evidence" to prove everyone is toxic/racist/etc. Riot has stated time and time again that their Boards are NOT the place to create witchhunts on players who've done little to no wrong because one person got upset. It also clutters up the boards with stuff that us players can't help you with. We'd appreciate as little clutter as possible to actual help people understand why they got banned/restricted.

If you believe you need to report someone, feel free to use the Player Support system. But believe me, the most effective way of reporting players is through the Client side reporting system.

Riot Games will send you an email with a copy of the chat logs usually, if you haven't received it you can get a copy by submitting a ticket to riot support here.

They don't send out chat logs with email anymore.

Instead, they're displayed when you log in to the client.

You can contact support and ask them for the chat logs if you didn't copy or SS them.

After you reviewed your chat logs, if you don't find anything punishment worthy, post your chat logs if you want feedback on whether or not the forum believes you said anything punishment worthy.

So, the chat ban system works like this : oh so 5 ppl reported him! he said : go baron guys !, this deserves a ban right?

It is like killing somebody in real life and his family says : He is the killer! - so he gots sentenced to death.

No trial, no warning whatsoever right? This is how RIOT conducts bans? Just on statics?

No, the IFS scans your chat log and sees if there is something punishment worthy based on what YOU say.

It doesn't take into account what other people say. If someone said, "you are a (slur)," and then you say back, "really, I'm a (slur)?" it can hit you with a false positive punishment. It's a learning machine system and I think it has stopped issuing false positives at this point as I no longer see the false positive posts (or people have learned to not repeat awful things other people say)... but anyway, punishments are based on what you say, not what other people say.

I'm not sure you're understanding this very well. And you're going to be preaching on some very deaf ears about this as we've heard it ALL. I literally mean we have read everything there is to read about the system and players trying to refute their ban.

To be blunt, you have been given advice and told where to find your chat logs. Nobody here can really give you advice or even agree or disagree on whether your restriction was warranted or not. As others have said, we'd be happy to help you further, but we can't take anything with more than a grain of salt until you've posted the logs.
