So i was playing league today and we had a jinx who left the game when our jungler didnt give him the red buff and when he came back he started flaming us and we said stuff back to him with my friend and the game ended and we went to the next one after reporting him, and in the next game we had a Gragas adc and Rakan supp who started flaming everyone when my only contact with him was when i used the good job emote and again when i said something back to him and muted him i reported him after the game and i got chat restriction for 25 games and jinx and rakan got nothing. So my only point is why am i getting the middle finger when i did absolutely nothing but when i say something back to the one who is trash talking me gets absolutely nothing. Getting real tired of this

Without seeing your chat logs I can't really speak as to why you may have gotten chat restricted.

It is worth nothing, however, that you are not always alerted when someone you reported is punished -- the message only goes out to a single individual, and that is the last person who reported them prior to a punishment. It could have been someone else in your game, or it's possibly your report wasn't sufficient to trigger a punishment, but advanced that player to the point that the NEXT time they get reported a punishment will be applied.

So you're telling me when they say i should kill myself for existing and i tell them to shut the f*ck up and play leads me to getting the punishment

You know what really makes trolls mad? just play into it. if they say "oh you should kill yourself" just say something stupid back like "oh, i try that every weekend. I come play league with people like you to get my weekly inspiration to do it" or say something totally off the wall like, "okay, but can you see why kids love cinnamon toast crunch" they will 100% give up in talking sh*t.

If you remember that toxic people just make themselves look stupid through flame, then you don't really need a reason to talk back to them. They dig their own grave.

But to riot, yes, talking back is just as bad as instigating, because both of these help nothing and no one. It keeps tilting said toxic player, it tilts you, and it really just breaks the foundation of your team. When i noticed the enemy team fighting in games, its tempting to almost feed the flame x) because after that its much easier to win cause odds are someone will probably give up and just feed/throw. same thing for your team.

Chat logs and proof that they weren't punished are needed for anyone to make a judgement on this case. No one should just take you at your word. People tend to lie to themselves, let alone strangers online. So, yeah, good luck in the future.
