I just got chat ban for games that are a month old ( +some random rant about the state of the game )

Alright, so I've basically got sick of the game a month ago when I decided to take a pause. A month after I return to the game only to continue my loss streak with people literally trolling my games after one single thing goes wrong for them. Which is not even the point of this thread.

The point of this thread is to point out how ridiculous this game's logic for banning is.

I enter champ select, some dude named Gαngplαnk with the hashtag GP! bans GP then proceeds to call out people for banning his champ. Later it turns out he wanted to play Yasuo but someone banned him even tho he didn't even pick intent him. He proceeds to pick cleanse ghost lethal tempo Nunu, enters the game, and doesn't want to leave our Katarina alone on any lane cause he was the one that banned Yasuo. Proceeds to int, ruin the game and lose us the entire game. Which is also not the point of this thread.

The point of this thread is the fact that that guy got at lest 6 or 7 reports for inting the game, which in turn didn't mean anything, but I got a report, presumably from him, for flaming him ( calling him an inting retard ) which in turn got ME a chat ban. Which is funny cause after I got it, my report card mentions the games I played a month ago where I was salty cause I couldn't win as a reason for my chat ban.

Game 1 is this one with the inting Nunu.

Game 2 was a minute 16 taken inhibs game where my team didn't want to FF but fed every single person on the enemy team ( a month ago ).

Game 3 was an almost winnable game if I didn't have an Amumu jungle who literally trolled us by intentionally not grouping but instead walking around, fighting random people, dying and refusing to play with us. He ALSO got at least 4 reports but ALSO didn't get banned. ( more than a month ago ).

Now I'm not saying my messages weren't toxic and salty but if that is actually a bigger issue than someone who enters a game and proceeds to ruin the game intentionally for 9 other people, then there is something really wrong with this game. Not even to mention the fact I just got banned for two games I played a month ago ( or more ).

On a side note, does anyone else think the game has never been bugged more than it is now?

I literally had like 4-5 Pyke games where my ult didn't do damage at all. The enemy is marked red for execution, I ult him, they walk off like nothing happened. And that has happened at least 7-8 times in my last 5 Pyke games. Is the ult supposed to be jukeable by just walking straight or am I crazy?

Oh yea and the client LOL. I play on an i5 and 8750M laptop with an SSD ( game is on it ) and 8 gigs of RAM and the client is horribly laggy when it's not on low spec mode. Oh and today I got two dodges cause my champ select froze when I was picking and couldn't log in.

Oh and my FPS, yeah. It's actually lower than ever, I used to put everything on ultra except turning off shadows and basically never going below 80ish FPS, now I'm playing at medium and I sometimes dip below 60.

I mean with all the problems the game has, Riot decides to give us 'quality of life fixes for emotes' in the latest patch? Next to all the bugs and inconsistencies the game is having?

Haven't played for a month only to return to a chat ban and inting people who just get away with it like nothing happened. I mean how can I still have a positive attitude towards the game with things like this happening?

The system punishes based on consistency x severity .

Just because you didn't play doesn't mean the previous consistent toxicity has been pardoned. Your account will continue from where you left it.

Taking a break from the game does not absolve you of responsibility for those games. If you returned and immediately got a chat restriction, that means it was issued before you took your break. If you got it a couple games later, it means that your behavior had not changed.

Time does not heal wounds. Time and better behavior do.

You constantly complain about feeders, even calling them intentional, when the data simply does not support that. People having a bad game are not intentionally feeding, no matter how many deaths they have. You do not get to flame someone just because you're losing the game and they have deaths.

I'm sorry but I get an impression you did not even read what I typed. Lethal Tempo Ghost Cleanse Nunu running it down mid is not "having a bad game". Amumu who doesn't want to do baron after we 4v5 ace the enemy team but instead bumps his head on their turret with no minions around and dies is also not "having a bad game", but clearly intentionally feeding and ruining the game.

I NEVER flame ANYONE who is genuinely having a bad game, we all have those. I don't even know where you read that in my text. I peaked D3 last season, no way I could've reached that by having an attitude like that.

And secondly, this thread is not here to try and excuse what I did because I did flame those people which in turn got me a chat restriction. Which of course IS stupid but I guess understandable ( we gotta be friends even with feeding inters, right? )

The fact that those people who ruined the game for me and everyone else ( both my team and the enemy ) just queued up after the game and continued playing like nothing happened, that's what's bothering me and needs to change. What more do you need than a report for intentional feeding by both teams on a single person to get him at LEAST a single day ban ?

Nope, if you ask Rito, it's more important that we have this false positive attitude towards these people which are at the core of everything that's wrong with this game. Besides the game breaking bugs and glitches of course. Cheers to Rito!

He didn't run it down though. He had the least deaths on your team. He died barely once every 5 minutes in that game.

Amumu who has the right to make his own decisions. You aren't the boss of them.

You aren't the boss of the game. You don't get to tell others what they are to decide or not decide. You're claiming they ruined the game for you, well it sounds like League isn't a game you should be playing. You seem to only enjoy a game when you can control everything - might I suggest a single player game where you can be the boss of everything?

Are you making those arguments only to be contrary to me? Cause you are not being objective at all.

I'm not saying I'm the boss ( you said that ) or that I know the best ( you said that ). But if you as 'advisor' are ACTUALLY defending trolls who got reported by almost everyone in the game, then I think that whoever assigned you that role is oh-so-very-wrong.

I mean are there mods here? This guy is actually trying to excuse literal trolls who REFUSE to help their team and instead go around autoattacking turrets to their own death without any minions around, and Lethal Tempo Ghost Nunus who are literally following my teammate around and not letting them play the game.

I am NOT talking about people having bad games, I am talking about literal trolls who intentionally ruin the game for people while the rest is trying to win.

And that kind of people are getting defended here. On the Leage of Legends boards. Is this fair? Is this real life?

You're making claims that, put quite bluntly, are false. That player was not running it down mid. You said he was. That was a lie.

I am done responding to you here, because you obviously won't accept you were wrong.

Even if you were right, flaming is against the rules, point blank, full stop, no matter how "justified" you think it is.

I don't think that he's a Riot Employee (they employ many volunteers to help them maintain their stuff both here and on Discord). Furthermore, I'd just mute the players trying to ruin your day rather than call them names. Calling them names doesn't do anything for you but make you look bad. Good luck on reforming, cause if you don't, you'll get permabanned soon enough. (Full disclosure -- I have 4 permabanned accounts, 3 of them for verbal abuse.)

Thing is, I have never gotten an account banned for any amount of time explicitly for verbal abuse. I actually don't do that, if people are having a bad day that's fine. I may comment on how bad they are doing but will never bring that to the point when it becomes abuse.

What DOES trigger me is when I get the griefers and the inters who entered that game solely to ruin it for everyone else. That's when I just can't hold back and I just say stuff. Or when I get the "I don't want to surrender only so I could iritate you and waste your time" kind of people. It's not that they want to try to win, they literally do it only to prolong an already lost cause, which is beyond triggering.

I mean It's not like I'm flaming that badly, you can see the logs for yourself I posted them, but I guess it's still enough for me to get a chat ban. I've been getting these like 20 game restrictions for some time actually. And tbh I don't think this is the last one.

Riot wants us to have this false ggwp, glhf, better luck next time, always positive cheery attitude when the game clearly brings out the worst out of people. I'm not gonna be negative in a game like out of nowhere, for nothing, but when I get a disco griefing Nunu in my game, what am I supposed to say? "Just a bad game friend, it's all okay." Lol. I ain't gonna do that, and the least Riot could do is try and punish these people more than they do right now. Cause they don't at all.

Right now, someone calling someone who is griefing and ruining the game a retard is more of a problem than the person doing the griefing, which is completely absurd to me.

It all comes down to actions. If you call him/her a retard, the system sees you as no better. Now if you report them and you are (by IFS's standards) an angel in game, any reports directed at you will be counted as null and void (Heh Kassadin ).

I would warn you though about keeping your nose clean in both pre- and post-game chatter as IFS now scans them as well. You heard me right, you can now get permabanned for things you said to your teammates both before you entered a game or after you finished a game.

Just horrible. I always at least try playing my games seriously, when I get people who obviously are trolling and trying to lose the game, what then? I mean I called that guy names last time and I got a chat ban while he just continued playing like nothing happened.

Something just seems wrong about a system like that.

You don't necessarily know if he got punished or not. You don't notice that you have Chat Restriction until you get into game after it happens. Besides, if you do report him and the system finds it valid, it's a strike against his account. If he continues the behavior, he will get Chat Restricted or if the situation warrants it, banned (possibly permabanned). Just do your best to use your best friends, /mute all and /fullmute all, to keep it in check. Take it from me, it's more worth to do this than have 4 of your accounts perma'd and still make the mistakes.

Thats Chermorg. He doesn't actually work for Riot, but he is ridiculously defensive of the player behavior policies, especially when it comes to feeders. A quick look at his match history will tell you why.
