So I can't find anything recent about it online anywhere, but are there a lot of bans going out for "use of 3rd party software"? And is there potential for things like Discord to cause those bans? I just had my account stolen and suspended for 14 days for intentional feeding, then I got that resolved through the ticket system a few days ago, and today I received an email telling me the account was permanently banned. What the heck man?
Apps that work with Riot and have been officially deemed appropriate are not going to get you banned. Things like Discord, Twitch, and some streaming software have been explicitly confirmed as acceptable in their current state at various times in the past. Usually if an app gets a large enough use among the gaming community Riot will make some form of statement about if it's okay or not.
It's likely that whoever hacked your account was using scripts. If you'd write in a ticket again and ask them to check to see if the scripts were used during the time your account was hacked, they will work with you.
