Removing toxicity? u sure riot?

Today i got banned 14 days from toxicity. for this? i litterally just summed up in all chat what my toplaner said to us, and i got banned for it ? how is this a fair treatment i do not understand. Did any1 encounter anything like this? recently ive been noticing a lot of riot bans but this is just pure stupidity in their insant feedback system. pretty sure i got banned for the words i said when i litterally didnt say it just quote marked it. can anyone help lol? And all in just 10 lines. That has to be a record somewhere. I'm surprised you didn't get a permaban.

Punishment is not based on how many reports were given; as long as at least one report is made, their behavior will be reviewed, and more reports don't change that review in any way. Repeating their behavior just results in what happened here.

Riot has a zero tolerance policy towards hate speech and encouragements to self harm. That means that it's a punishable offense if you use it against someone or if you quote someone using it. Your best bet here is to send in a ticket to Player Support and plead your case politely.

Putting it in quotes, for future reference, is not enough to excuse this language. Both because there's a zero tolerance policy, and because then everyone would just put harassing language in quotes, which would be a lot of extra work for Riot to have to confirm every time.

Then keep trying. The people who work there legitimately do want to help whenever they're able to, no matter what some community members may say.

If they reply and it's not satisfactory for you, reply again. They reply with template text because 90% of the time that works (i.e. giving someone their chat logs when they didn't get them in client bc its bugged, or giving someone information, or explaining there's nothing they can do, etc).

Eventually you will always get to a real person. Make sure to be polite and not demanding in your messages to them. I have seen ONE case where an exception was granted as it was apparent that someone was attempting to trick someone into using hate speech. This may be a similar case - but it is up to Riot to decide, and that is an exception, not the rule.

Best of luck to you. And I'd recommend never uttering any of those words (especially kys, report, ban, f---, n--, etc.) again.

yeah, you got banned for repeating hate speech.

The definition of hate speech is that is is literally considered to be never acceptable. That's why it's blurred out even when being quoted in news sources and things like that.

Further, I don't know why you felt you needed to repeat it?

I also will inform you that it only takes one report for a game to get reviewed. It doesn't matter if you report, one teammate reports, or all 9 other people in the game report - they'll get a punishment if they deserve one. The reports are like a Boolean flag: the flag is "did this player get reported" and the answers are "True" or "False" - it's not 0-9 scale of how many reports they got, just if they got reported or not.

yea i know from the riots view point they just scan for words and im banned but still really sad and i wont accept it

Well, for hate speech, yes it generally is a "use it and lose it [your account]".

Like I said, generally Riot believes (as do I) that these words have absolutely no place in League even repeating them. There is no reason you needed to repeat their chat, especially if it used hate speech. But in an exceedingly low number of cases (I have only seen one), they'll remove bans if it was due to someone tricking you/trying to get you to say it.

when you get reported riot only looks at your logs because it does not matter what other people say, your actions your consequences, repeating what someone is saying that has toxic material is ban worthy

the last 2 lines is me summing up what the toplaner said. i put it in quite mark, its not me saying it LOL and giving up farming bot and oppening mid was not what i got banned for. its the 2 last lines that i didnt even say

You pressed enter, typed it in, and pressed enter again. That is you typing it.

Don't type hate speech or encouragement to self-harm. Ever.

The other lines of giving up, asking for reports, and opening mid contributed negativity to the IFS's scoring of your chat log. The last two lines were enough so that it didn't matter in this case, but even without those two lines, this chat log is negative and punishable.

One report is enough. One report does everything that 9 reports does. Asking for reports does nothing as long as you report. Don't ask for reports.
