what are you really suppose to do when people are instigating?

I am 100% behind shaclone on his feeding, you dont ban someones pick, without any explanation, and then talk trash to them, then expect good behavior out of them. I mean how do you expect him to play and have fun when he spends forever in que just to have his teammates troll him? instigating should be the most bannable offence.

If people are being terrible you mute them, play out the game, and report them after. If they continue in the post game lobby take a screenshot and send it to Support on the boards via a support ticket.

You then move on with your life and hope you never run into that particular person/people again.

how can you not run into that person again when you are at the top of the ladder with a small pool of people playing?

The only way you can actually avoid people like that is to avoid people in general. You will run into them eventually if you interact with others, so it's best to learn how to deal with them, rather than try to avoid them.

that is my point, why is shaclone permaban, when this cockle gets to be a fuck head to other people? i am not expressly saying shaclone should not be punished, but there was definitely someone else to blame for everyone having a bad time too.

Do you have evidence that those other people got away without a punishment? If you do I'd love to see it, otherwise I'm going to focus on the evidence that is available and the punishment that was quite clearly deserved.

To answer your question simply: You act like an adult.

Retaliation is never a justifiable excuse to behave poorly. While it's not always easy to do, if someone is acting up then just mute, report and move on. Doing that ensures that you don't stoop down to their level like they want you to do.

so you are doomed to have a bad time? i am sorry, while shaclone does deserve a punishment, the instigators deserve way worse.

We have no way of knowing if this was their first time behaving this way (i.e. an anomaly) or not. With Shaclone he got punished because he consistently acted in the manner that got him punished. If the others act the way that they did consistently and frequently then they too will get punished as well.

Intentional Feeding is never acceptable. Intentional Feeding ruins the game for those that weren't doing anything to you, both on your team and on the enemy team. It sucks to play against an intentional feeder, since you don't feel like you're accomplishing anything.

Mute for the toxicity/trash talking. That's why it's there.

You do the exact same thing when a teammate bans your champion as when an enemy picks or bans your champion: You pick a different champion. Yes, it's that simple.

you obviously missed the point of this post, they did do something, directed at a specific summoner. and this kind of thing doesn't go punished because god knows why, or if it is it takes way too many instances for that person to be punished.

The systems pretty good at picking up what someone says and banning them for it, just look at the rest of the Player Behavior board for proof of that. I would be very sceptical of claims that negative chat goes unpunished. Let's not pretend this was Shaclone's first and only case of intentional feeding either. It took how many instances of him intentionally feeding to get punished?

The system has some leniency built into it, and I think that's a good thing. It took Shaclone some time to get punished just as it would take the instigator some time to get punished.

Who decides when the counter trolling is acceptable. It's a slippery slope.

bobtehgreat1 votes

this is true, but when people are being toxic before the game even starts, you know you are not going to have a good time.

So trolling the rest of your team is acceptable? If you're in ranked, someone is rude, you'd be cool with a teammate throwing your game to punish someone else?

bobtehgreat1 votes

you know, I do chalk it up to the game and how riot fails at punishing people who are toxic. sure things get heated in game, but to be a dick to anyone in your team for no reason at all, you are trolling your whole team. that person isnt going play to his best, period. I do say that shaclone should be punished but the real toxicity is the instigator.

Just mute them and continue. Nothing better than to see them not seeing their messages on your chat screen.

AFKing is the only way. Muting and then carrying them is rewarding them with LP, and intentionally feeding will get you banned.
