How league of legends made me more toxic over time

-started this game s3 support janna never got flamed and got ALOT of honers

-played jg yi for the first time, got flamed for not playing good multiple times/ got emotional first time i got flamed (cause i was trying hard)

-after about two years i started to realize more when my teamates made mistakes and got annoyed with it

-after realizing when my teamates made mistakes i started to give them shitt if it was really bad

-after about three years i started to ragequite and troll if my teamates gave me shitt or talked back if i pointed out their mistakes

only if i could be that naive janna again

anyone els had the same experience ?

its the game itself doing this to you.

if you are playing basketball do you have to keep playing with some moron who is throwing up half court shots all game and not playing any defense? no. you can walk off the court and find a different game immediately.

in league of legends no matter how idiotic your teammates are being, you are stuck with them for 40+ minutes. if you leave you are punished. being trapped with trolls is a huge creator of toxicity.

if you are playing call of duty do you get mad when your teammates make mistakes? no. in most video games the play of your team has very little impact on your own gameplay. i barely notice or care about the score of my teammates.

in league of legends every time one of your teammates gives a kill, your enemies get stronger. if they give many kills your enemies become so strong that you become completely helpless against them. which totally destroys your own chances of fun. it is perfectly natural to be annoyed because your team actually is hurting your own possibilities to have fun.

you shouldnt blame yourself. league of legends is the most toxic game ever designed. and its toxicity spreads to the players.

There's no question that league has changed over the years, but toxicity in this game hasn't changed. The standards of dealing with toxicity shouldn't change either. Mute and move on with your other teammates.

i just got more stupid reading this. I read the whole thing. Its 'honored'. FLaming is a personal choice. When im getting upset, especially during ranked (thats the most important time to keep it cool) i need to step away from the computer for a minute or two just to stretch, get a glass of water. Anything to reset me mentally. Its just a game and its nice to play with competent company, but nothing is worth getting bent over. Most asshats like to tilt people on purpose but they dont realize how much they hurt the community. Dont let it get to you brotha.

Youre one of those guys who at the end of the game is like " MAN im 1 13 0 but i played that SO nice ! too bad my team was stupid ! " inner voice : "so why did you die 13 times?" you "oh man i was camped that stupid jungler of mine couldnt gank."

People like you make this community bad. People who give up and stop being optimistic BUT still play the game ! Just to int, just to troll, just to get triggered for tiny reasons. I pity you, because youre hardstuck, with no way of going up the ladder, and blame everyone but yourself. Sorry but truth is harsh, but your mentality needs a reset.

By the way, everyone has bad experiences. In any game, in life as well. It cant all be nice , you get shat on too. That doesnt mean you have to turn into one.

I had near the same expirience. My first time when i played league, near end of season 3, i started the very first game and playd Varus back then, kinda funny when i discoverd Runans Hurrican and i got shit on directly, i ignored that and just didnt respond, cause i wanted to learn that game. Over the time the blame got less and i was not bad at that game, i shifted to become a Support main, and then it happend. Season 4 slowly endet and i kinda felt the game was changing, was it my first bann for 1 week?`I dont know. Could be. But over the next 2 years it got worse, pretty sone my first account got perma banned, and i was pissed but reliefd that i found out of this place that not only changed itself but also changed me. Ofc i didnt always had great games, but i tryed my hardest, wasnt that was league was about? Trying your hardest to win? No, if you just try your hardest you get shit on, You have to utterly destroy your opponent, and wining alone wasnt enought for the players anymore, so they kept starting when they got the upper hand to let down on the enemys a bit and then cursh them and kill them over and over without ending the game, forcing the enemys to forfeit. At that point i got the first 3 days of bann of my 2nd account. i quit. I had to quit. I changed so much in those few years, i broke many chairs and other stuff, if never done that before. League changed me totaly, i was so much easyer salty then before, and i had anger problems. Now im finaly out of the game for already 6 months, and damn im happy again. I kinda like the game, but the community in it turned to the worst humanity has ever seen. I would go so far to call 60% of the lol community toxic. Riot, if you could do 1 great thing, and shut down the toxic players for their behaivori and their style to play, and stop punishing the creative players. This was once a beatuifull game, that now becomes even more beautifull with the new stuff you add in, the stuff you rework, its all so great. but if you look closely, LoL is nothing more then a corpse infested with parasites, only living on this things, for nothing more then those things in it. Im out.
