Don't play newly released/reworked champions in Ranked the first week and you'll be fine.

While I'm sure there are people who do it out of spite. Majority of the time people will ban your pick intent because you could be farther down the line of picking a champion (like being last pick) or they don't want to go against that champion. Especially when it's commonly ban champions (like zed and twitch) people aren't really paying that much attention and will ban it out of habit.

I know for me I usually Instaban blitzcrank because I hate going against him. But if someone on my team wants to play him I'll usually ask beforehand!

I am so god damned tired of people ON MY TEAM banning the champ I selected either by accident (“sorry… I didn’t see you selected that champ… my bad.”) or on purpose (“I didn’t want anyone to play that champ.”).

How about you get rid of banning altogether? Yeah, it makes sense in pro games when banning an opponents main champ might give your team a tactical advantage. But in casual games, it makes no sense. 95% of the time people don't know who they are playing or which champs are their favorites. More often than not people ban the champ that just kicked their ass in the previous game.

Or, how about you lock selected champs BEFORE people start banning? That way people who selected champs won’t get jacked in the backsides by their teammates. Yeah, the other team can still ban the champ I’m hoping to play, but that’s expected. No one expects or wants their teammates to screw them over in the first stage of the game. That pisses off people and undermines the team as a whole.

You guys say you want a friendlier (aka, less toxic) gaming environment. I agree. So please address this major source of frustration.
