AFKers

Dear Riot,

First, I love your game, thanks for your efforts!

In the scheme of things I'm not a very good player, but I try. I'm in Bronze and perhaps rightly so. However, I have lost at least %40 of my games because of AFKers and consistently get demoted no matter how well I and my remaining teammates are performing. The loss of LP at the end of one of these matches is demoralizing and upsetting.

Will you consider implementing some kind of mechanic that considers such occurrences and prevents the loss? The remake mechanic is awesome but does not cover a wide enough variety of situations.

Thanks.

there are like 10 posts a day about afker. the remake was the best they've given us so far but that only helps pre 4 minutes. It was a great start, now we just need something like reduced LP lose per number of missing players and make afker lose more. so in a 4v5 lose 10 lp and the afker loses 25+. just a thought

Its highly doubtful Riot will address the afk problem anytime soon. Their player base is too large and their esports events bring in enough money that unless the game suffers from a massive loss of players they will put the complaints about player behavior on the back burner. I still enjoy the game but the afk's are out of control. Its every other game at this point. Last year is was the same and the year before. Ever since they took away the tribunal player toxicity has hit an all time high and the community managers have yet to honestly address the situation or outline a plan for improvement. If it's starting to get to you, try playing hots. While not as fun as League it still has its place in the moba universe and it's fun once you start getting int o ranked games. The community has far less toxicity and when a player leaves a bot takes over for that player.

Yep. People who just cause a problem. I realize sometimes there is a computer problem and out of the control of a player but there is a lot of rage quitters and players who just stop playing altogether.
