Twisted Treeline etiquette

Just came back to the game after many months without playing. I played a round of Twisted Treeline and the weirdest thing happened. I am quite sure all players were human but non of the players on the other team attempted to kill me. I took out two of their players multiple times as the game progressed but they never made an effort to attack me... they just walked by me and attacked minions. And somehow their levels were increasing as were their health bars, but again, without ever really attacking me. I tried asking them after the match ended but no one replied. I am hoping the community here could provide some insight. Cheers and thanks in adavance.

I checked the match. That's really weird! They do have some champion damage, so they must have attacked somebody. If you're sure they're human, maybe they were just incredibly unskilled players that you matched with? If you haven't played much Twisted Treeline your MMR on the map might be quite low, so that might explain why your opponents were so unskilled. Were either of your allies as unskilled as your opponents?

There's a lot of bots in TT as it's the most efficient way to grind xp (Or at least it was the best way to grind ip before the system change, and more than likely is relevant in the current system). It's most efficient if you actually play, but using champs that can hard push towers, like Jinx, allow you to end games really early. If you end games in under 7min, you get no xp, so you look to end just after 7min.

This was usually how people fast leveled accounts. They would just play Coop vs AI and grind out infinite 7min games with xp boosts. Though Im sure even bot vs bot games are faster overall in TT since there's less objecives to push down.

The bots are easy to beat, so once you win enough, you should put yourself out of their MMR range. Though there's such a low amount of people queueing for TT that you may still see bots here and there if it has to reach outside the usual MMR range.

Those are bots. You went to Twisted Treeline, that is where they live.
