Will account buyers be punished?

So, just this week my account was stolen by some shits that worked on a group project with me, I was working right next to them but they were on the computer and I was just actually working on the presentation. While I wasn't paying attention they got my info and actually ended up selling my account. They don't even play the game. Before you go on and scold me about anything I did contact player support, god bless them. They helped me get everything back. Before you go on about scolding me, you try taking 30 credits of uni while working 45 hours a week. OK! This was a project I needed to finish in accordance with my finals that I had to study for, so staying logged on league, and having my e-mail pw cached was the least of my concern. Anyways back to the point, I was wondering if the scum who bought my account will be banned for buying the account. Obviously I want them to be punished since they even used a lot of ip to change the name to this hideous thing that you see. I really hope they do get punished automatically. I was just wondering if anybody knew this for sure or not.
