14 day ban after 9 years of solid service??

So, I have been playing this game since, i don't know, almost the beginning? I remember when this thing was still being compared to the original DOTA map. No, not DOTA 2, I mean the MAP, from WARCRAFT 3. I have been playing since near WARCRAFT 3.

I was having a heck of a weekend - vagrants soliciting me for money, tweakers getting work in my company over me, family acting strange - I just wanted to play some normals. Just for that League experience. No ranked, just gameplay.

I get into a match on a late Thursday evening, and within five minutes the ADC is saying in all chat that I am bad. I am not sure five minutes is enough time to evaluate skill.

Well, I will shoot straight; I was mean. I was excessively mean. I spent the entire forty minute match asking this person where their trash talk had gone. Besides a couple times where they had the time to reassert, of course, that they felt I was bad, they didn't reply. But I was mad, and I allowed myself to continuously ask, to the point of being obnoxious, where their trash talk had disappeared to. After all, even if we are winning, shouldn't you stick to your guns and insist someone is bad regardless of how the match turns out? That is what I was expecting.

What I got, however, was a FOURTEEN DAY BAN several minutes after the match ended. I didn't report the guy - obviously he was intent on being a jerk without even experiencing my gameplay - but myself? I may have said some things I wouldn't really mean to a fellow player, but is my first and only offense really deserving of a FOURTEEN day ban? That, to me, is extreme. I am all for punishing unsportsmanlike behavior, but does every first time offender deserve that kind of ban?

I have been playing League of Legends faithfully for nearly 9 years. I have invested much time, MUCH money, and much dedication into making this my hobby. Is it really fair to impose the penultimate penalty at first offense by a dedicated player?

So the fact that the answer to "Was this extreme toxicity?" and "Does this account have a sufficient history of toxicity?" are both "No" yet I was punished doesn't invalidate the flowchart?

Your thread had a very negative chat log. It's the kind of log that, if it's a common occurrence for you, would lead to a minor punishment. The flowchart shows that even minor punishments build up to be more serious as you continue to be punished.

No sarcasm, and the fact that you don't recognize what you did wrong is a little worrying.

Negative does not always imply toxic, and since only punishments for extreme toxicity happen from a single game you have a larger history of chat logs than you were shown.

Keep in mind you can only get a punishment if you were reported, so someone on your team didn't like what you had to say.

People report for literally anything, whether you say things or not. Remember when you use to get pop-ups that people reported you in games? I'd get that literally every game, regardless if I did well or not, regardless if I said anything.

The idea that anything that's not positive is negative is a dangerous line to define. This is a video game, we're real people in the real world. Nothing is sunshine and roses. If I want to tell my support to "stop pushing before we get ganked for being over extended again!" that shouldn't be grounds for a chat restriction.

False reports are pretty accurately handled by Riot's system, and the few times a mistake happens a support ticket can and will overturn the punishment.

Not sure who you were talking to here, but there are much better ways to bring this up then using five lines of chat and talking in an exasperated manner. How did you expect the other guy to take this exactly?

No context so I can't be sure, but if I had to bet I'd say your jungler said there was nothing they could do about your lane. This means something about your lane felt ungankable to them, which makes your comment here fairly useless.

How does this not add to the negativity of a situation? How do you think this isn't negative all by itself?

These are just examples from the chat log you copy/pasted. In your images there are many more examples of you whining and bitching about things in a way that would slowly tilt just about anyone. It is negative behavior because it creates a bad experience for your team, and would have been better if nothing was said at all.

You actively argue in game when you should be playing, and while we all do that on occasion Riot has been very vocal about this being grounds for punishment if it happens too often. Based on that thread of yours, and your posts afterward, you're clearly not learning the lesson Riot is trying to teach you.

When not saying anything is a better alternative for your team than opening your mouth maybe you should just not say anything.

I've already addressed those quotes when others asked about them already. The situations were:

Janna trolling because she got autofilled support and only shielded herself so she could "do more damage" in her own words. Warwick complaining that he has nothing to do other than AFK farm post-level 6 (the same) Janna sassing everyone else on the team and flaming them for their failures.

Additionally, it's not that difficult to type with one hand and use a mouse with the other. After all, that's how the game is played, isn't it? One hand on each. Can do that while also checking the minimap every 5-20 seconds or so while CSing for information along the game.

You did address them, but you didn't see how they are considered negative. Seems like you still don't, when just about everyone who replies to you can see it with little to no trouble.

The only luck I need is in matchmaking. A problem that has steadily getting worse for the past 8 years.

Also in fixing the visual bugs with Aurelion Sol's stars, Ekko's Q, and Ornn's ult that I've reported and support has no idea what to do about.

Riot doesn't care about your personal problems. If you have personal problems, then it is your responsibility not to put your account at risk.
Riot doesn't care about how much money you put in or how long you've been here. NO ONE is invulnerable to the system.

With all that said, if you were so dedicated to League, then this should not have been a surprise. If you were a veteran, you'd know the rules by now, and you'd know that toxicity has no place in this game.

There was a beta phase before season 1 started, so depending on exact dates there could be players who have played League for 8 years.

Riot doesn't care about loyalty. You either follow the rules or you can forget about playing league. And for fair warning, the next ban you get is Permaban. So I'd take those 14 days seriously.

boom. I used derogatory terms a number of times. I felt that the Tristana was being something of a dimwit, for which i used unnecessary terminology. No excuse for words used. Wondering, however, why what one responded to is not included in these logs as vitriol is often two-sided. My vitriol did not spawn from nowhere. I did not become angry out of nothing. The Tristana had begun criticizing my play before we have even begun playing. I reacted poorly. This is evident.

You can see from this limited timeline that the Tristana was basically calling me bad at every turn - even though she was 1/0/1 and I was 0/0/2, she was still insisting in /all that I was 'so bad.'

Again, I reacted poorly. I have yet to contest that. I am only posting this now because it seems to be a crucial component of a post on this board.

The ONLY reason you would need to see others' logs is to somehow "justify" your toxicity. Unfortunately, it is not an excuse no matter what the other people said or do.

However, they will refuse to budge from their position that it does not matter. Which is fine!
