AFK in Promotional Series

Dear Riot, So I was playing the third match for my promotion series to silver and we had a player who was afk the whole time. We obviously loosed and i didn't qualify to Silver. So my idea is every time we play a PROMOTIONAL match even if one payer is afk, they wont count it as a lose (or a win). and if they want they could also count the opponent team as the winner. And i don't want this lose to be counted for every player who is playing a promotional match in my team. I don't want this idea to apply on every ranked games ONLY for PROMOTIONAL games. Its just not worth playing a bunch of matches just to get qualified and then lose the series just because you had a afk in your team. Hope you understand.

This has been suggested before. It can be abused by having a duo afk to prevent a loss or it could encourage people to force someone to afk

Exactly anyways there are times you can win 4v5 it's not impossible

Thanks guys for responding but is there any ways this can be prevented other than using the method which I suggested.

I was in series 3 times to get to silver, I'm a pretty terrible player, and twice there was an AFK in the series. If you do lose the series then you will be at 90 LP and you can get right back into series. I'd be nice to not have to qualify again but honestly the system isn't that bad now IMO.
