Toxicity in this game is overwhelming

I've been playing this game for about 3-4 years now. I enjoy the game, its fun and can even be exciting. But I recently uninstalled League of Legends because the sheer idiocy and toxicity of the community of these players and these games is stunning. I cant go and play a simple game anymore without someone telling their team mates how good they are, or if they lose a turret that they suck. I understand that this is a fighting game, shit talking it allowed, but when its to this degree where it makes ME uninstall the game because its EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. Riot has a bad handle on dealing with the toxic players, either they get away with it by making other players salty and then the other players get in trouble, or there are trolls, and people are so cocky. Players tend to only get in trouble for being a "bad player" if they get reported 20+ times. Its ridiculous, I'm fed up, and I'm extremely disappointed in this community.

Whenever I see someone claim that League of Legends has "high toxicity" I have to wonder if they've ever played any other online game.

League of Legends is very low on toxicity, VERY low. Play any major PvP oriented MMO, any first-person shooter (Especially with VOIP), play almost literally anything else and it will be much worse.

I've played a lot of games, from Starcraft when it came out to CS:GO and Call of Duty. League does have by far the worst community of all of them. I just came from a game where two people were spewing hate speeches at eachother pre game. Not an uncommon sight. The new champ select is better but I always find myself playing pacifist and gettting two people to stop raging at eachother on the brim of actually ruining my game.

He's not the only one who believes this as there are many many many online games and League is consistantly rated in the top 5 worst communities.

Tribunal will help, and Riot is still learning, their systems are getting better each year, this is 2016 and extreme toxicity doesn't HAVE to be a part of gaming.
