Remake is a little too punishing

While the remake option is nice for when someone does legitimately leave, there are times where someone has minor issues connecting, and no this is not a 'oh check your internet before queing' issue or a 'fix your client' issue. There needs to be a tweak made with someone who is actively trying to rejoin the game.

It could be as simple as the remake vote still occurs at the early point but must be confirmed 2 minutes later. 5 minutes being ample time to rejoin a game.

The other change that needs to be made is for someone who is trying to get through a 5 game leaverbuster (deserved or not) shouldn't be forced to go through that wait time after a remade game. there is nothing quite so frustrating as sitting through a 5-20 minute wait, another 2-5 for game que, the up to 5 minutes of pick/ban only to have the game remade because a teammate or opponent doesn't connect, then have to repeat that entire process.

If you're joining the game late enough that the Remake was even offered, you've already put yourself/your team at a disadvantage. If you're the jungler, you'll be starting late and be behind for a while. If you aren't, your jungler might not have gotten as much help as they could have with their first camp. Maybe somebody from another lane went to help with the pull, but they were late to their own lane as a result. If you're a laner, you're getting there late enough that you'll be behind in CS and experience from the start.

While these aren't insurmountable setbacks, I can't blame your allies for accepting the remake option. Why would you want to play a ranked game where you know your team is starting with a disadvantage, when you could get out of it for free and get into a game where things at least start on even footing?

i agree, i feel like a remake should be treated as a dodge penalty. not a full leave

I agree partially, I think remake is fine as it is but, I think there is truth behind the part about not punishing leaverbuster players with another 20 minutes is true.
