Serious Question: Why is it so easy to get ban now rather then a few seasons ago?

I just was wondering after 3 ban accounts and a more recent 25 chat ban games I really don't understand the whole system in its self I honestly think i've become less toxic over the years but I still seem to get chat bans as if i'm still saying The F word or The N word. I know this is a VERY sensitive topic but I really beg ANYONE from the Riot Games to respond to this because I do not think its fair that I cant defend my self from a person that is flaming me in a passive aggressive way or refusing to help me AS A TEAM MEMBER SHOULD, its a team game but I feel the real enemy is not on the other side of the map but rather on my side.

I know this sounds like a "Toxic player rant about his ban accounts" but i'm gonna be the first to say I don't care about the money/ skins / champs or even rewards or rare stuff on the accounts and i'm not asking for my accounts back I 100% deserved the bans for 2 of them. But I seriously think the system cripplingly flawed. Its just WAY too easy to get an account that you have worked on for maybe even years to get ban for saying something that might have just slipped out.

I just feel the people who decide the punishment are a tad insensitive to the situation, its not their account I don't expect them to care but I honesly dont think they take all the aspect into consideration such as the persons mental state (Maybe they had a bad day and this set them over the edge), the other players actions, the other players chat logs, and I think the most important one BOTH PLAYERS RECENT HISTORY OF CHAT LOGS (An example would be for me the game before I got the chat bans I was getting flamed from All 4 other team members but I kept my cool and didn't say anything back because I knew If I did I would be in danger of losing my account, I reported them all but nothing happened ofcorse even though they were saying things like "This jg is a F****** R***** N***** feeder" (that's a real quote) I beg anyone from Riot to give me a well developed argument of why I cant defend my self when players are just allowed to say things like this and get away with it?

I have a few ideas

  1. Let players COMPLETELY turn off the chat, There is really no need for it. it gives players a venting outlet but its really just a trap.
  2. Instead of completely banning the player why not take away their chat PERMANENTLY?
  3. Instead of a PERMANENT ban Why not just ban the account for a long time? such as 6 months? maybe even a year? because going from a 2 week ban to a PERMANENT ban is a HUGE gap
  4. When a player trys to type "F***" or "S***" or any "Bad" words they get changed to "good words" like "Puppy" or "Butterfly" the people at blizzard Overwatch team has done this for the word "Gg EZ" If you say that it will instead come up as multiple funny quotes like "Its past my bed time" or "I really did love this game!" its ironic and tbh it really did help me stop saying "GG EZ" because it simply does not work.

Thank you very VERY much if you really did read all of this I hope we can get some serious change in the League Of Legends Tribunal system.

You can defend yourself, you just must do so correctly. You defend yourself by muting them so they are silenced and cannot effect you with their word. You defend yourself by reporting so they are punished. The vengeance of hitting back is nice and all, but the victory of walking away unscathed from their attempts is far sweeter.

We've had a large ideal of how the League community is toxic, as well as how people can get away with whatever and make the game unfun.

Game companies like Blizzard and Riot just got together a year ago and decided to remedy it better; as per our complaints and because they believe it would make a better community. That's all.

From what I remember, it was just as easy to get a ban before the implementation of IFS, it just took longer for the Tribunal to enact a punishment, due to the fact that people had to manually review every single one.

So, Kobra0019, your justification for continuing poor chat behavior is that you were defending yourself.

Do you see the problem with that? At the end of the day, its still just poor behavior. you MIGHT have been able to get away with something like that when it was the tribunal... but even then people were still strict with a "no tolerance" approach.

My tip for you is to find a way to not take things personally. The way I do it is I keep in mind that there's an angry kid somewhere in the world who is trying to flame me out as if harsh words from the safety of your keyboard and screen really have a bearing on facts and reality. The instinct to defend against stupid words is one you should just learn to turn off.
