Can I get banned for defending my teammates from a toxic person on our team?

Here we have this Jinx, that is being toxic to everyone on my team (except me) and I couldn't bother seeing them not defend themselves because here they are scared of being banned for talking back. So here I call Jinx a %%%% for talking shit to the team, and I just went off on her tbh because people like her really piss me off. Question is, can I be banned for shit talking a toxic person? I have no regrets for defending my team in this situation, however if it means me getting punished then although I can live with that, can I really get banned for it?

Depends on how exactly you "defend" your teammates.

Yes. Actually defending yourself or others is absolutely okay. Retaliation, on the other hand, is not.

A quick "Hey! Knock it off!" Or "She said she's learning that role and you aren't helping." That's fine.

Ripping back at the same level of the instigator? No.

Yes, you can.

The best course of action in here, will be reminding your teammates: "You have a mute button" or "just mute her"

Then silently report her at the post game.

I won't even bother to ask others to report, since numbers of report per game makes no difference.

First of all, Riot don't support people from getting BULLY

And people who don't defend or talk either just ignoring it or just don't care Its like you see a guy going into a bank with a gun but you ignore the situation and don't give a fuck or call the cops

Just like Riot, they don't care if they see or hear you were "cyber bully" or being shit on in a game

Riot don't even want you to defend yourself against cyber bully (if you do they will put a ban on you) saying do not defend yourself against cyber bully -just sit there and let them hit and cus at you while you take everything in

If they refuse to defend themselves you don't need to do it for them

Just be a "Stand By Watcher"
