2 Week Suspension for sticking up for a teammate who was flamed???

So, I joined a game yesterday playing as support, in dynamic queue, with no premades on our team.

Our jungler, playing as Twitch, immediately started flaming our team's Lucian about his recent win/loss record and damage output in games at level 1. Basically he looked him up on op.gg or lolking before the match and started talking trash about his recent performance. Saying things to the effect of "I'm a better ADC than you but you got ADC role and I got jungle". So, as we were leashing the gromp for Twitch level 1, as I expected and as deserved imo, Lucian purposefully stole the gromp from our Twitch jungle at level 1. Now as we know Twitch jungle is barley doable, so not getting a leash to level 2 meant he was at a severe disadvantage and was struggling to clear out.

Twitch immediately starts flaming in all chat "Report Lucian for stealing gromp level 1" and also flaming the rest of our team and especially Lucian in our chat. This prompted the enemy team Elise to invade our Twitch since she now knew he was still level 1 and struggling to clear a camp, and she actually kills him. The game snowballs out of control quickly after Elise invades Twitch again (after he already died once) at his red and kills him again, now we have a level 1 Twitch jungle vs a level 4 enemy Elise jungle with 2 kills. (As you can probably tell, the game quickly snowballs out of control results in a loss but that is neither here nor there)

Twitch gets even more mad and starts calling in all chat for Lucian to be reported. Meanwhile, our team is not having it. We know that Twitch was in the wrong and the only reason Lucian stole his gromp is because Twitch flamed him. Many of us state in all chat to report Twitch since he started the entire debacle from level 1 onward.

Long story short, I stuck up for our Lucian in all chat as well as team chat to make sure he does not get reported with the line: "We are 4x Twitch he gets into the game level 1 and starts flaming Lucian about his win record" and "then has the gall to bitch when Lucian takes his gromp". I get a bit heated and let a few more lines go in team chat, "You're a fucking loser and a %%%got twitch" and "flaming lucian about his record, what a fucking prick" and "if you would have kept your mouth shut [after lucian takes gromp] then you wouldn't be a %%%got, but you're just a %%%got and nothing more".

I'm the one who gets the 2 week suspension here, even though I'm just stating facts and trying to stick up for my teammate who I believe was in the right and also did not break any rules nor flame his team.

{quoted} "You're a fucking loser and a %%%got twitch" and "flaming lucian about his record, what a fucking prick" and "if you would have kept your mouth shut [after lucian takes gromp] then you wouldn't be a %%%got, but you're just a %%%got and nothing more"

That's what got you banned.

"if you would have kept your mouth shut..."

Try taking your own advice.

You can stick up for your teammates, absolutely. However, you can't become toxic yourself and start saying the stuff you did. There's a difference between sticking up for your teammate and starting to flame someone yourself. Once you cross that line, that's when you get punished too.

  1. one game of those words don't get you punished, you must have had a history of doing that

  2. why even use those terms in the first place?

  3. no need to phish / defend reports. false reports get thrown out and phishing for reports counts as harassment against you

  4. if you wanted to win the game, go protect twitch from inside the jungle or set up wards for him. But if you wanted him to loose the game, then don't complain about snowballing.

  5. mass reports counts as 1 report. It just flags the system to check the account for possible punishments.

Post your logs or no one is going to care or believe you.

Apparently "sticking up for others" means calling people terms affiliated with hate speech. Nice?

But if Lucian didn't want to be flamed, why didn't he just not play like shit?

Also, I'm glad an overly sensitive player like you got the banhammer.

if he's flaming you can mute, your friend also did antagonize him afterwards, i would be very tilted for the rest of the game if my first camp was messed up. i would play worse since i would be on tilt, never antagonize your team, because what your friend did was also toxic.
