Not a Ban Appeal just a question

So this isn't for an appeal, it's just a 2 week ban no big deal, I'm just a little curious if this is the threshold for getting someone banned. I wasn't being "Toxic", I wasn't sending abusive text messages, I was just throwing out jokes that may not have been tasteful to the audience, I was in a 5 man que and all of my pals thought it was funny. I was playing Ryze and twisting his dialogue at first. Then I also made a joke which I've said a million times, didn't call anyone mean names then lastly I made another joke, not trying to offend or hurt anyone, just trying to add a little humour. And if this is what it takes to get banned then I'll be sure to stop lol.

while you may think this is a joke and your friends, who obviously know you and your Humor, others do not. your jokes can and probably were very offensive to someone and it does not matter whether or not you offend someone, vulgar speech as a whole is not allowed if spoken to someone. ANY form of Insult is against the Terms and can be punished, no matter how weak or unoffensive

No. Unless you had lots of punishments before this, not worthy of perma.

But 2 week? After previous tiers? Definitely. You did use hate speech, which Riot infamously has zero tolerance for, so the Ryze thing is irrelevant. Also, don't goddamn chat spam, that is also punishable.

While I'm surprised this didn't yield a perma, to directly answer your question:

the threshold for getting a perma after a 14-day is very sensitive. Anything big enough to trigger a minor chat ban will result in a perma at your current stage.

I'm actually a little surprised this wasn't escalated to a permanent ban, as no one is buying your "cigarette" explanation, and this is derogatory language. Riot usually has a zero tolerance approach to this sort of thing. Doesn't matter if you and your friends say it all the time -- if it's typed out in Riot's game, it's punishable.

This is largely chat spam. Not necessarily bannable unless it's frequent, but when it's the least offensive thing you type in the game (aside from 'gg') it WILL get you punished, yes.

...yeah. Blatantly crude sexual 'jokes' will get you reliably punished.

But yes. When your entire chat log is derogatory language you try to deny has that impact, personal insults, repeated messages with no bearing on the game, sexual comments, and a single 'gg', you will probably be banned, and will probably continue to be.

Well, you're extremely toxic. Nothing you typed in chat was constructive to the game. You may have been trying to "poke fun", but you're being toxic with the aggressive hate speech/sexual comments. I understand wanting to taunt the other team but you can't say things like that. Most times a simple "?" or "thx for the leash" Is more than enough to tilt someone if thats what you're going for. Personally I think you should just focus more on playing the game and less on in-game chat.

I just got hit with a permaban for pretty non-offensive chat. All of my chat was taken out of context and no slurs,etc. were used. For example I was late to the game at 1 min 10 seconds and ran just before minion spawns and my jungler says "Lux your late" and I replied "Ok Should I just afk then?" But won my lane so clearly it was a joke? How can other players be allowed to feed and I sit quietly, then they provoke me with bad mannered pings (i.e. they are like 0-8 and I'm fed trying to carry, I miss one ability I get max spammed by enemy missing pings) and I tell them to stop. After the game they report me and because in the past I was (used to be) toxic, my account is already flagged. This system is so broken.
