In all Fairness... Ranked

Climbing in Ranked is supposed to be fun and challenging; watching yourself improve and strive to reach higher every season especially if your low on the totem pole. But in all fairness.... its garbage. You get on a roll. You're playing the best you have in your life and you still manage to lose that game. Thats fine. You queue up again and it hits the fan: AFK 0/3 Fiora top at 5 minutes. Loss. Next game; someone got auto filled and won't dodge so they run it down mid and troll all game. Loss. Int. Troll. Afk. Int. Troll. AFK. All they way to two divisions under what you started the day at. Why? Why are those who are STUCK in games with these people still punished as if they were the ones actively griefing. Why should I lose LP and MMR because some self-entitled plod decides he doesn't like the role he got or how the game is going, even IF WE ARE WINNING? And promos? Oh. It's like the other players can tell when you are near/in promos. Because suddenly you are against 5 Challengers and your team is a bunch of 12 year olds who've never seen an MIA ping before. This needs to be addressed. I'm no veteran to League. I started half way through season 6. But it is absolutely ridiculous the back and forth I have gone through over the time I've played Ranked. And before I get the 'But the common factor in all the games was you' comments, yea, I'm aware I've cause my share of losses over making dumb mistakes. I am no perfectionist at this but you cannot blame me for the 0/10 bot lane who keeps pinging me when my laner ganks them and they ignored the MIA and warning pings.

There needs to be a review system or something. There are creative ways around the system when it comes to Inting and trolling, even if everyone one in the game reports you. So there needs to be a back up or a person or something who goes through and looks at the the stats, watch the replay, something! Don't penalize the tired and fed of players trying to work around the ones who want to watch the world burn. Take less LP in a loss like that. Less MMR loss. Something. Anything.

Let us enjoy the Climb... In all Fairness... Most of us have earned it.

Thanks <3

You want them to hire a person to go through millions upon millions of games a day? Manual review isn't possible.

Here's the thing -- you are playing a team game unfortunately you will need to rely on your team and sometimes that will work in your favor sometimes it will not. There's a 5/9 chance for the feeder to be on the other team and a 4/9 chance for it to be on yours.

If you have do-able suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. Most people who create these threads typically don't.

That's just the nature of team games. It's not just you, it's 5 strangers trying to work together to win a game. Sometimes one stranger is tired, one suddenly has connection issues, every once n a while you get one who is on his last straw and very emotional and something sets them off so he gives up on himself. There's so many factors. Just last night I had one where I was 14-4-10 or something, and we still lost because we just got outplayed as a team. Sometimes it's just that, and it looks like you have an inter, but he's merely just getting outplayed. In the end, I think we can all agree that it's God damn frustrating. But it's the nature of playing on a team, with a bunch of strangers. If you want a legitimate, tournament level competitive team game, you have to make your own team and come up with strategies and take it seriously. It's just impossible to expect good close games where you feel the only factor is skill, when you're playing with strangers on your team. This isn't an official tournament, it's a video game with a ranked ladder system where casuals can play with hyper competitive people in the same match.

hmmmm... can we look the other side of the coin and analyze what you could have done to win that first game?

If someone is feeding a lane, is there something you can do eliminate that lead, maybe through roaming ? maybe by getting so far ahead that they can't contest you?

People who are good at the game can consistently climb, so rather than rely on match making luck, do something you can control more.

Funny enough, there was a manual review process, the Tribunal, sadly its been stuck "in maintenance" for years now,
