The title basically describes it. New to MOBAs, I've only played about 6 games now, and people are real mean towards new players. I have some friends who help when they're around but would love if I could find a few more people to give me tips and help me in some games. Thanks.

Hey, sorry the community can be mean to newer players, but if you want to send me a friend request, I can answer any questions you might have about the game, or duo with you if you like. This is my main account, so friend this name if you want to. The problem with us duoing is you would have to play against much harder opponents, since it takes the average of our level. But I could play on a smurf or something. I will most likely be on tonight if you are interested.

This game has a lot to learn so you are in for a long ride if you really want help.
As for "people are real mean towards new players" bit... it doesn't get much better. Just remember, those people being mean would not have the balls to say that stuff in real life. Don't dwell on it and just focus on the game. If you let their harassment get to you then you will be miserable as long as you play this or any other online game.

Beginner and intro bots are usually very friendly. I help out new players in both modes frequently so feel free to add and invite me (Mauve Thunder) if you are having trouble learning the basics. You'll figure it out eventually, we all started at level 1 ya know?

Oh and if you've been having trouble getting other players to talk much in intro bots, I've been noticing a trend around late night US time where players buy strange items and charge up mid and only mid which looks like bots to me :S
My first suggestion is to work it out in AI. Don't even bother going in to PvP matches until you know the character you've picked.
As for the negative jerks, yes, thet exist. And it won't be the first time. Mute them. Hold down the tab key and click on the sound icon near their names. Or turn your chat off. Oh, and feel free to report the worst of them. If they are punished, no one will miss them.
