When you're in a League game, you aren't with your buddies. Time and a place. Use this kind of language at work, and expect to lose your job.
I mean… you could have just left out the last word. It would have still been funny (if one shares this sense of humour) and it's unlikely that you would have gotten into trouble for it. In general, though, it's not a good idea to practice controversial jokes in public with people who may not share your sense of humour.
All that said, you can always try opening a support ticket and explain the situation. If you're super lucky they might reduce the punishment.

That is the weakest defense I've ever seen. And I've seen people try to say they were "referring to the Champion, not the player".
