I just got permabanned for competitive banter

I got permabanned recently and I just got out of bronze in my first year of playing. I did receive a ban before for being toxic and I fully understood it after I reformed myself. I would just like to know what you guys think on the chat logs that I just got back because personally I truly do not feel that I should get permanently banned for something that others instigated and I didn't even reply or "berate" others. You're a toxic and very rude jerk. Who cares that they were inting? You were mean, abusive and hostile and you act like the world owes you its grace. You are entitled and deserve your ban while the int'ers read this thread and laugh at you. Now enjoy your ban and go roll a new account.

First of all, it doesn't matter if someone else "instigated" anything - what you say in response is all that matters. You alone are held accountable for your own actions.

Three lines in on Game 1, and you start with derisive comments about how your bottom lane missed a skillshot, are "feeding", and you called them heavy as though you were the only good player on the team. This already is enough to warrant a punishment, but;

You went on to continue with accusatory remarks about your bot lane, started harassing one of the enemy players from what I can assume, started taunting as if you were better than everyone ("wasn't even trying in lane and still won xD"), rank-shamed other players, acted like they didn't know the game, threw in one last unnecessary bite at your bottom lane, and then went on with some "EZ" spam, which in all honesty, is just dickish behavior on its own.

How old your teammates are doesn't matter, and all asking that does is prove you want to belittle and deride them more over senseless bullshit. And - while I can at least give that taunting one's own success against - say - an enemy's can be competitive banter (I've done it myself once recently), it has to be mild and infrequent for it to actually be competitive banter. You are not mild, you are not infrequent, and more than that, I'm 90% sure given context clues that you're berating your own team instead of throwing banter or shade at the enemy.

Which is infighting, and is not okay.

And then you go on to call your team toxic. Which is in and of itself toxic. Oh, the irony.

All-in-all, if your most recent punishment was a 14-day suspension, you absolutely deserved being given the boot. You're much too combative and ready to in-fight, calling your teammates feeders for underperforming and - honestly, you typed "lul" and "lol" WAAAAAAY too many times across two games.

This wasn't competitive banter, this was toxicity and unsportsmanlike flame.

People like you who literally go in a league game to talk trash, discourage team, and call gg first 10 min into game all deserve a ban. I think its unfair that u got singled out considering plat elo is trash talking hell but it happens. League already gave you a warning, your profile was already hot my guy should of muted people for a couple of months but instead u dont learn. Life is full of lessons if you dont learn from them problems like this will come back around. Best of luck

That whole chat log is toxic to be honest. You are not being constructive, you are being obnoxious.

Also, it does not matter what we think is toxic, only thing that matters is what RIOT considers toxic in this region. You were coming off of a 14 day ban. Zero Tolerance is zero tolerance.

Less typing next account. Typing will get you nowhere except another ban on your new account.

It is toxic but not permaban worthy. Put him to level 0. Remove rewards. Remove ranked. Remove experience gain. Permanent ban should be for serious offenses. You're in the hands of riot customer support now. Should've taken your earlier bans more seriously.

Heroes of the Storm for example will just double your chat ban every time you are punished. I think league would be wise to do the same.

There was no threat, hate speech, etc... Yes he was very negative and obnoxious, but you don't give someone the death penalty for repeatedly committing robbery.

Wuth all that said, I have to say that players like you ruin games with your over the top negativity. It does nothing to help or correct mistakes. Competitive banter would be telling people to stop rushing forward. You take it to the next level and keep saying they're inting and to report them. Inting is not someone getting stomped by a better player. Inting is not someone having an off game or playing something off meta and losing
