Perma banning is 100% useless

I've been playing league since like season 3-4 and last year i got my account perma banned. i was toxic and it happend. the point i have is since my first ban i stopped caring. it took me 3-4 season to get banned cause i, to a degree, tried to censor myself. all perma banning my account did was make me stop trying. since my first ban I've had multiple account banned for various reason. now you can say i'm an anomaly but the fact is i am not. a lot of players who have been perma banned end up getting other accounts and become more toxic because they have already lost there account, so what does it matter. by taking there account away you are essentially making it easier for them to decide to be toxic. there has to be a better solution. cause perma banning isn't working. league is still extremely toxic at most levels. simple fact is you only have a few actual fixes not just patches

  1. ip ban. If you are truly trying to get rid of toxic player completely, you can't just get rid of the account. it is a free to play game and takes mere seconds to make another account or they can buy one at any of the 100's of websites that sell them. so you aren't stopping them just slowing them down. ip ban is the only way to actually stop them.

  2. something similar to what blizzard does. you can make the suspensions longer like first offense 2 days then 4 then 8 and so on. in which case they still have the account to come back to so they are less likely to abandon it and just go troll on another account . especially if its an account they have invested money in. cause eventually you will have a year ban but you can get it back so there is some incentive cause if you go a year without your main and get it back finally with all your stuff you'd be much less likely to be toxic on that account at least in my experience.

  3. make it like low priority queue. except every time it is deemed you have done something ban worth, the queue increased by 20 minutes and by 5-10+ games. there will come a point where you have to leave queue open for 24+ hours just to play 1 game. you'd get 1 game a day and eventually will learn to shut up or be in queue for a week to play 1 game.

i have yet to truly learn a lesson from my ban. thousands of players are doing the same things i am. the simple fact is that proves your current system isn't working. make the game healthier. that's the point right? if so, you need to change your process this isn't working, it really isn't

False, it's the WORST way to stop them because it doesn't actually stop them while causing numerous collateral damages

Base on Rito's historical experiments with perma chat restriction and higher numbers of punishments before perma (more than the 4 we have now), it doesn't panned well.

make it like low priority queue

Rito already axed prisoner's island and its variations system

So, there are some misconceptions in your post. The first one is that you think that players who are permanently banned come back in large numbers. In fact, Riot has statistics and have stated that many permanently banned players never come back to League - and those who do are no longer toxic.

IP bans do not work in todays world where at a push of a button you can get 10 new IPs per minute, indefinitely, forever.

There does not need to be more bans as Riot’s statistics show that players who are permanently banned would never have reformed anyway (save for a very small percentage). Allowing players to ruin more games before they get a permanent ban will not do anything to solve toxicity.

Your refusal to learn a lesson does not mean that others are doing the same.

Not everyone is going to value their time so little that they keep coming back to a game that has their progress reset again and again.

Would you keep coming back to a game that constantly deletes your save files?

Most people choose to move to a different game.

It might not be perfect, but I don't see a reason to stop permabans solely because you don't think they work.it'd be great if we could permanently exile players from the game, but it's just not feasible. Feel free to make a new account, but if you're not gonna reform, don't complain about the free stuff you're not getting.

Anicdotal evidence is the best kind of evidence.

This whole post sounds like OP just wants to be banned again

It does waste peoples time if they have to grind up accounts again and also money, but I do think that more ban times or other punishments between the final perma were a thing.

I wish they had more verification for account creation so that a permanent is more than just creating a new account and not learning anything .

Likewise, you day that you came back more toxic. However, you were already banned from the game, which is the highest level. Therefore, you didn't get more toxic, you just continued on to another account.

Permaban forces the banned who wishes to play further on to open more accounts. Costs time, effort and as he will be banned later ont here too - so no money, no skins, no friends, no solid progress in game.

So overall: a permaban is more effort, less fun.

Even if not one single person would mind a ban it is a punishment and therefore "works". But can easily be proven wrong that all players wich were toxic are irreformable returning toxic players.

So let me felt this straight, you got banned, and now out of petty child like behavior, you've decided to ruin the game for other people?

It's a shame Riot can't find a way to prevent you from making a new account, people like you are the problem. Grow up and stop being petty.
