Community problems
As I'm sure many of you have experienced at this point, the community is declining severely in terms of attitude. I understand riot is trying to fix this with the new report system, however I think that the overall attitude is past the point of little to no return. While I have encountered many cases, both personally and second hand, of moderately to severely toxic players genuinely being "punished", I still find myself in game after game containing similar (or in some outrageous cases the exact same) players who are unwilling to cooperate in a number of ways. Often players will actually cease to legitimately play the game, just to stop and cause problems through angry messaging.
I am by no means an arrogant player, I would describe myself as modest at best. I am often well aware of my performance, and am likely to be the first to point out any mistakes I have made regardless of the state of the match. I would also like to say that I don't believe myself to be a spiteful team mate to those who choose to spend their games making accusations rather than self improving. That being said, I have encountered an overwhelming number of summoners who would rather bicker amongst themselves rather than try to make the best of the situation. I am not an inherently passive person, however I am very competitive, and as such I understand that arguing will not aid the team in any way, however I do have a limit to how many toxic players I encounter. Due to this, my overall demeanor toward other players has declined severely, and I am currently genuinely considering ceasing to play League of Legends.
RIOT, if you happen to cross this post, my suggestion (in relation to this anyways) is that you focus more on matching relatively negative players together, rather than banning or punishing them. It is a very unfortunate thing to be placed back into a match with someone whom you have just reported for a number of acts; a situation that has occurred to me more than would be preferable to anyone.
There are a number of other issues that seem to be relevant as well (the "balancing" of champions, the number of champions, the amount of crowd control abilities to name a broad few), however I am sure many summoners are willing to overlook many of these subjective issues. Aside from myself I am aware of many (close friends or internet personalities) who have quit, or are considering quitting because of the community, and that is a very disappointing thing.
