Report System Bugs And Problems

Hello everyone, It is going to be a long post so please be patient

Im playing for more than 4 years now, I report toxic players each match, and after all these years I've just received less than 3 or 4 punishment notification. So it means after hundreds of reports through all these years, the only feedback they did send me was about only 1% of my actions. I've seen so many players who make jokes of report system, because they know they are not going to get banned, unless they get a 9x which is rare (The only thing which league of legends players are truly afraid of is afk ban, because its merciless). So it makes me think if this whole report system is even working or not? Is it accurate?

To be honest, I think its not accurate at all, because reporting a player for something like "Verbal Abuse" or "hate Speech" needs to be proved, but in this system, you cant send your evidences (like screenshots and videos of in game chat and events) to the support staff. You can just hope if the toxic player gets reports from several players in several games in a row so there could be a chance for you to see the toxic player banned.

As you can see, this system is not accurate, is not responsive and it is not able to make a safe community for league of legends players, but its a heaven for abusive players to just share their sick thoughts and insult other players.

Recently I tried and searched for an alternative solution to report toxic player, and I found one. I decided to use the League Of Legends support system page to write my report completely (You cant type freely using in game report system because it is character restricted) and to attach my screenshots to my report as some evidence. But actually there was no category for "Reporting", I searched a lot but I could not find anything suitable. First I tried "Game Play" category but in this field, you cant send any description so I was forced to use "Account > Management" category (Using this one, I was able to send both description and screenshots).

After two days, Riot's support sent me an email which politely invited me to use in game report system (I can forward the email if its necessary). I actually did not get any proper feedbacks and I felt guilty for using Support System to report someone...

league of legends is a good game, but it has a major problem which is its community, its so brutal and toxic. After all these years, its the same community with all those toxic player, and unlike the Riot's statistics, I dont think it is getting better, but I feel it is getting worse. If they want to solve community problems and remove toxic players from it, fixing and improving report system is a good point to start.

Thanks for reading my post and excuse my English

It works, just that you don't see it working.

How it works right now is that you'll get a notification if the game you reported someone in was the game that got them punished. Not if they get punished down the road.

This has led to people thinking the system doesn't work (similar to how you think), and thus they loose faith in the system cos they don't see it working.

Riot is aware of this problem and would put in new behavioral features after the new client is up and running smoothly. Hopefully we get something like this.
