Riots ban system & diminishing NA-LCS prospects

Riots disciplinary system needs some kind of an update. I believe it is unfair to have so many tools in the game (such as muting, filtering explicit language, etc) only to ban players anyways for speaking their mind. I have watched some interviews with professional players from many different regions, and many of the best players in the world say that even they believe that telling someone they are bad and what they need to start doing and flaming them will only make them want to do better and be better just to prove them wrong. Just to condense this so it isn't too much of a long winded explanation, I'll just cut to the chase of what my ultimate point of this post is... I used to love watching LOL e-sports... but ever since riot started to clamp down more and more on toxicity in NA my interest for it has diminished because it seems like NA teams and NA players will always be inferior to their foreign counterparts, and it is due to this strangle hold that riot puts on toxic players who are good at the game (not necessarily saying I'm a good player) we don't see as strong of teams coming from my region as we see in others.

Stop being a bunch of babies NA, grow a pair.

...telling someone they are bad and what they need to start doing...

This, handled well (particularly by not telling someone outright that they're "bad") could help players along. Being told and shown opportunities for improvement generally leads to some inclination to actually try to improve in that regard. 'Course, it'll all fall apart if you tell someone straight up "ur bad" - but still. Done well, outlining where improvements are needed can work to help players improve.

...and flaming them...

This, however, will not work, ever. Nobody wants to listen to the flaming asshole who's telling a teammate that they suck. If you tell me "ur bad, you shouldnt take dark harvest on jhin, it sucks and you suck using it, take fleet footwork" - for instance, I'm going to tune you out - probably even mute you. I'm sure as hell gonna report you.

Flaming won't get you anywhere in helping players improve.

Oh - while I'm on the subject of helping players improve and teaching others......

...Remind me, what does this have to do with top-tier play? I'm pretty sure they don't need to learn hardly anything if they're getting into the LCS.

No one wants an asshole in their game. No one. Trash talking isn't something anyone wants to see nor want to tolerate. Instead of "growing a pair" how about you grow up first.

An interesting theory. I wonder what data you have to support it.

Oh.. nothing? Okay then.

I propose a more realistic explanation: Asia, more specifically, Korea, has always dominated at all things video game. Name your game, and if it's reasonably popular, the best teams and the highest scores and the fastest times always seem to come from players from that part of the world.

...

NA isn't looking in international events cos of the lack of trash talk.

That poll that you added at the end, really made me laugh. Clearly shows you do not care about listening to other players opinions, you just want to listen to players supporting your opinion.

And no, this is not military, telling someone they are bad won't make them want to improve, most likely they will want to loose, just so person who flamed them will loose as well.

The thing is youre prbly not good Enough at the game to be micro-managing every other player. So your reasons to “telling people they are bad” likely aren’t much better than yourself.

We don’t need players going around micro managing others and flaming those who tell you to shut up.

Grow up
