Isn't this chat log quite tame for a permaban?

My account was just released from a 14 day suspension today and in the third match I got a troll Thresh who flamed me throughout the game, and reported me afterwards. A few minutes later, I got a popup saying I was permanently suspended.

I didn't use any curse words or insults and I didn't harass him. Do they really hand out immediate permanent bans for one chat log, reported by one toxic player, when it doesn't even contain any curses or insults?

This isn't one of those. I didn't say anywhere that I didn't deserve the ban, I'm sure I must have deserved it along the way if it led to a permanent suspension.

I'm just wondering if the system has gotten more strict, if all it takes is one bad chat log after a ban to basically shut you down for good.

Well I didn't expect to get banned after one game, where I didn't even insult the guy, and I was reported by the only other guy in the game who'd been consistently toxic.

wondering?:)))Did you not get the hint after you got the 14 day ban?Guess not..But,what about your permaban?you really need someone to tell you "Yes,the system is strict now". I don;t like the system dude,but i work around it.Their game,their rules;)..If all listen to the rules,why shouldn;t I listen to them.it's a comunity after all;)

Permabans are reviewed by Riot first. So this wasn't just the system....it was a person as well.

Yes. Not by itself by any means, but within 3 matches of coming off the next-to-final ban? Sure. You haven't learned from your mistakes and show no intention to do so, and then harassed a guy. It doesn't matter if he is toxic or not (you can't tell from that log)....YOU were harassing. If this was after like 25+ matches of your last ban, then maybe I'd feel a bit more lenient. But within 3 matches means you're going to keep doing it and you're not wanted here. Sorry. This isn't the game for you.

I don't really consider arguing with someone harassing them. I consider harassment as a 1 way thing.

We don't know what Thresh said so we don't really know if he was acting as poorly or not. But either way, OP's behavior was inappropriate and deemed unwanted to be in the game anymore.

Nah, we can tell the Thresh is communicating with him. I highly doubt OP is making up random remarks to non-existent comments. But regardless, if this type of language is considered permanently bannable, then there are issues....especially when every other game I get someone that literally runs down the lanes dying on purpose or "sorry guys, I only have 20 mins to play".

Communicating? Yes. But we don't know who started it, escalated it, kept bringing it up, etc. There are a few specific remarks in the chart log that do sound like the OP was instigating and continuing an argument. I don't think the OP would jsut make things up, but at the same time I don't take the word of somebody who has been permabanned for their conduct at face value.

As I noted before, I don't think this chat log alone justifies a permaban. But since they literally just came out of a 14 day ban (and very likely others before that), it shows that they have not made a considerable effort to reform and become a positive player. As such, they're not welcome. He's welcome to try again with anew account, but only if he changes his ways or it'll happen all over again.

He's arguing with Thresh, big deal. If Thresh wasn't/didn't want to argue, he could easily mute. There's obviously a two way conversation going.

Honestly, I don't think this chat log deserves any kind of punishment.

Continued whining about summ spell choice, continued whining about skill shots missed, continued whining about # deaths (which probably are increased saving your ass), then telling him to 1v2 lane is about as toxic as it gets.

Ban deserved.

But he wasn't saving me. I don't think ignite is a poor spell choice, I just questioned why he took it, and he said he was a smurf who'd end the game at 20 minutes. He then proceeded to rush into the other bot lane champs over and over, miss his hooks, and get flayed by the other thresh. He died repetitively and complained that he didn't get to play ADC, when he didn't even ask for the role in champ select.

I told him to 1v2 lane when the lane phase was already over, because he kept burning my CS on missed Targon procs and using flay on the minion waves. The exact moment I said I'd leave lane, their Jinx was killing our Trynd in top lane.

That still doesn't excuse your chat. Your entire log is about a single champ, the thresh. While it seem that he was stuck bot with you, you seem to harass him. You question his summoner choice, you complain about his deaths, focus on missed skill shots. I'm not saying the Thresh is innocent here, but neither are you.

You don't get perma-banned for a single match. You only get it for continued toxic behaviour after previous punishments.

It doesn't really matter how 'tame' you are so long as you continue to display toxic behaviour.

But how is one game a "continuous display of toxic behaviour"? I recall in previous years that you basically got a "clean slate" after a previous ban, in the sense that, reported games prior to the ban weren't included in future bans. This was a case of one game where I was responding to a person harassing me, and I was doing it in a relatively calm manner.

That's not the case. All punishments (minus threats of violence and other extreme circumstances) are progressive. Every time you get a new one within x matches, it increases the punishment.

You were never given a clean slate after a punishment. But they did stack up chat restrictions and give repeated 14 day bans before which they no longer do.

There is basically a 4 strike system now. Punishments follow a progression based on reoffending

10 game chat restriction
25 game chat restriction
14 day ban
permanent ban. Severity can skip you past lesser punishments, typically the chat restriction phase. And you can improve your standing by 1 tier per 3 months without reoffending.

First of all, i don't agree with the system.but dude,i work around it.You shouldn't talk at all in your games if you had 14 days ban

Secondly

Support with ignite.It's actually really good,unless the enemy team has an assasin(zed,rengar) and nobody else on your team has exhaust for them.I wouldn;t recomend ignite in this case And do you know what ignite does?Cancels heal.Basicly,you should win the 2 vs 2 bcs of the ignite;)

Not only did you harass him the entire game, but you wouldn't shut up. You would think that toxic players would learn after they get a two week ban to stop typing.
