Hey guys so this is Screwdriveh I got permanently banned and Im wondering why am I perma banned(in-game)? couldn't I just have been suspended or chat restricted? I know for a fact it was the yi game I played and every lane was over extended and I was told to farm. Its not like I haven't tried to work on what I say but still I think that's a bit harsh considering my team wasn't all that nice either. I had just gotten out of being dishonorable as well...

J6vV2un2c83 votesYou should have been given a report card when you were banned. If not, check your email and try logging into the client. It should be there.
As for why you didn't get a lesser punishment, punishments are dished out on an escalating basis generally. Meaning if a lower-tier punishment did not work, you will be escalated to a higher tier, including up to permanent suspension. For example, say I insult my teammates (no hate speech or anything, but toxic) and get a chat restriction. I do the same the again I will get banned. I do it against I get banned for a longer period of time. I do it again I can get a permaban. Why? Because no reform was shown after the warnings, so for the good of the community I would need to be culled.
Now, really bad offenses like hate speech, or telling others to kill themselves, may result in higher punishment faster and skin the tier system. But for most instances, punishes get progressively worse, with the 14-day ban being the final warning before perma.

Kei1432 votesRiot has previously tried to give permabanned accounts another chance. The challenge was for those owners to make it to level 20 without punishment and they'll get their original accounts back. The experiment ended with 95% failure rate.
With the success rates being so low, it's current not worth it to develop a new program to reform the permabanned players.

This text is clearly negative and derogatory in nature. If this was your first offense, sure maybe you would get a chat restriction. But as you said, you have gotten suspensions before. Rito warned you that this sort of behavior would not be tolerated, yet you continued to harass your teammates. Since the previous suspensions didn't seem to stop you, they determined reform was unlikely and so for the good of the community you had to be culled.
You are free to make a new account, there is no rule that says you can't. Take this as a learning opportunity, and to behave in a more civil manner in the future.

Bans escalate in severity if you don't show sufficient reform after a punishment. From the bits I pulled from your log below this was definitely worthy of a punishment, and if you had a somewhat recent 14-day ban (or have bad games more frequently than most, thus prolonging the time it takes your account to recover its standing) this could absolutely lead to a permanent ban.

I still tried to help the team, and that game ziggs wouldn't even help the team. im pretty sure it was that game I had with yi and yes it was a bad game, but at least I tried and didn't afk. Every player is judged purely as an individual. Nothing anyone said to you effects if you get banned, and nothing you said to them effects if they got banned. Meaning, it doesn't matter if someone else broke the rules or not. If you break the rules you will be punished.
im not saying that you shouldn't punish me, but I feel that perma ban was a bit too far.
Punishments generally escaulte to the next tier:
- First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction
Yes, the chat logs you posted likely would only result in a chat restriction... at first. But if that chat restriction doesn't stop you from being toxic, you get a longer restriction. If that doesn't stop you, a ban, and if that doesn't stop you, you get permanently banned. Note that this system can decay over time (meaning if you get a 10 game chat restriction but then are perfectly fine for a long time, you may only get a 10 game chat restriction next time too), but that depends on if you are being toxic or not.

Unfortunately no, I'm afraid not. The 14-day ban is considered the final warning. It is one last attempt to improve your behavior before they determine reform is too unlikely. You can make another account though, and if you are truly reformed then that account shouldn't get any bans. It sucks to lose that many skins, but that is the price of toxicity.

that is something I didn't know but oh well the damage is done, i have seen way more toxic people then me but shit happens I will miss this game but it isn't worth it in my eyes to create a new account half of my years were on Screwdriveh

Tyler1 had a special and very rare kind of ban called an "ID" ban which meant he was not allowed to make any new accounts, or publicly play League at all. ID bans are for people who are actively hurting riot's business, aka very toxic public figures. His ID ban was lifted, and downgraded to the type of ban you have. He had to make new accounts just like you will have to if you wish to keep playing.
