Falsely Punished

I was in a game where I was dealing with a toxic player. I simply told them I was reporting them and that they're going to get banned (this guy was extremely toxic). Then, next thing you know, I get a chat restriction, losing my honor level 5 that I worked hard for.

I wasn't toxic at all, and I already submitted a ticket but I'm wondering if Riot even reverses Honor levels. The chat log was a normal conversation of me dealing with the toxic player without any flaming. This makes no sense for me to get punished for dealing with the flaming player.

Anyway, has anyone gotten their Honor back for being falsely punished? I feel played, I should've just muted that flamer. Now I won't be getting the Honor rewards..

If you need to report someone always keep in mind they may be queued with friends and as soon as you say you will report, they will report. If you said something that could get you in trouble it will nail u.

TBH I think that when any side or player reports someone, all comms should be viewed by riots bots, and anyone in game not just the person reported who causes shit for the rest should be punished regardless of who reports who.

That's true, and I actually know multiple people reported me. They said I could get banned for asking to report this toxic player in my team and then went on to report me..

The other enemy team reported me for fun because I took the Rift Herald, denying his mission.. that's literally a false report.

In the end, it's just a game. But losing my rewards for simply playing the game and trying to be calm with a flamer really feels bad.

there was no need to tell them you report/mute them it does nothing but get you in trouble. just mute then report

Yeah I learned my lesson, I'm gonna do this from now on. But I still don't deserve this ban, I haven't been toxic at all.

Not all punishments are based on toxicity. Your punishment, which involves breaking a rule even though you were not toxic, is a clear example. These early punishments like chat restrictions are warnings to stop whatever behavior you're doing, and if you do show improvement you will get your ability to receive rewards back. Unfortunately for you there might not be time for you to work off this punishment before the season ends.

I did a review of my chat log and the only thing bad I said was "are you sure you're not Bronze" which was clearly a joke, and that the flamer lost his lane.

I've supported this game for years and getting punished just because I engaged this toxic player really upsets me tbh

We can look once you are able to post. However you may want to contact support. They may have sent the wrong logs, happened in another's post.

Definitely your choice, but I will point out that often players who are punished tend to overlook things that might have gotten them punished, often because they don't think it's punishable.

just remember it only takes a few words to push someone over the line if they are in a bad place, so by eliminating players who frequent these phrases riot can protect those who can't handle it.
