What can be done about AFKs?

I just played three ranked games in a row where one of my teammates purposefully left the game, all three over rage when the game is easily winnable. I was wondering what people thought could be done about losing LP over the immaturity of another player in solo que. Most people are going explain that there's nothing riot can do to monitor these mishaps which I understand, however it would be nice to see some ideas. I always wondered if there was a way riot could differ the leave game button to normal disconnection, because remakes are a step in the right direction but rage quitting is a huge issue especially in low elo where I am placed (Gold 5 btw). If somehow it was possible to find whether a player leaves with the leave game button or by turning off their computer they could be more heavily punished for leaving ranked games rather then having the same punishment for regular dc's. Because people leaving is clearly not an issue for some players when it happens more often then not. Wondering what people think, if any brainy people got any ideas it would calm my tilted heart to know a possible solution.
