I just received a 2 week suspension today for arguing with a master yi and wanted to know if the community thinks it fair. Sry I don't have the other chat logs but the person I argued with was also suspended. Here are the logs or just click the link for a screenshot.

You're missing out on a bigger part of the picture. You should post all 3 games that caused the punishment. They can be found on your in-client reform card when you attempt to login. It also takes into account your previous punishment history, so anything that would have been as light as a chat-restriction would be escalated.

Oh sorry I didn't try to log in again, but I thought if there were other instances of me being reported that led to the suspension it'd be included in the email they sent me...?

Each and every report is validated for accuracy. If the 'joke reports' from your friends are investigated and found to be correct .. they count.

This is just a question out of curiosity. How do you know if a report is false or not? i.e.: jungle didn't gank, reporting you - isn't really a valid reason to report someone, but people will report for trolling. This hasn't happened to me, but how do you validate the reports so things like this won't happen?

They have access to a very large amount of data of the game in question when they investigate that they can audit to recreate the picture and find out if it was false or if it really happened. For example, if they go in to look at match data and see that you didn't actually do anything warranting a report, then the specific report is invalidated. Their future reports will lose more and more credibility as they report for superfluous things like not getting a gank.

Let's say, in another case, they go in to audit a report for trolling and see:

  1. Chat logs of you telling them to stop following you through the jungle stealing your camps
  2. Progression data that suggests they really did follow you through the jungle for 5 minutes taking gold/exp
  3. Post-game report comments saying "X player/champ followed jungler around stealing camps"

then the investigation has validated the reports and an appropriate action would be taken.

Actually, if you guys are Riot ever wonder WHY people post only one game onto the forums, and ask why they got banned, it's because the reform card only shows one game at all stages, the only time it will show all games is when you log in for a second time, but the first time around(or last time, considering people get perma banned) they only see the one game instead of the multiple.

And then they come in complaining about how they got banned over one game, and how they only see one game on the "reform" card.

The email only contains one game. This is due to email length issues. Long emails can be rejected in many cases.

The in-client reform card will always contain between 1 and 3 games, depending on how many were considered for your punishment. The in-client reform card never changes.

Most of the things you said weren't that bad... This one is. Even if you had a toxic teammate, you shouldn't be toxic in return. You're just putting more oil on the fire while achieving nothing.

Well, most of the severe punishments are mostly due to the system RIOT has implemented due to the Tribunal being in the shop. I don't know much about it, but if you truly wish to take this to RIOT and send any complaints, just look it up online, find the exact website you need, and there.

Chat restrictions are considered punishments as well and are taken into account for escalation purposes.
