Thoughts on Dodging

I was in a lobby about to start a game when a certain individual who queued for bot decides to trash talk someone who picked Yasuo saying that the person was bad with the champion. I asked him why he believed that and he told me it was because this person did terrible last game according to his statistics. Now the problem arose when they started exchanging words and I see the same person that started to whole argument decides to pick Syndra bot as a troll pick. Now the Yasuo threatens to run it down mid if our bot locks in Syndra. Of course he/she locks in Syndra. Now its my turn to pick and I decide I am going to dodge the game because I am not going to deal with two toxic players who decide they can't settle their differences and play the game. The point here however is that I dodged for a legitimate reason. I feared of losing the game because of teammates who threatened to intentionally feed and not play to win at all. With this in mind I think that dodging for this reason shouldn't give a penalty. However there is no option to say that you are dodging for any reason at all and keep in mind people get timers for dodging games. The client needs an option that allows everyone the option to dodge based on legitamate reasons such as: toxic behaviors from others, any threats of feeding or trolling, and/or any signs of AFK before the game even starts. I understand that this obviously would take time to develop and may cause additional look into pre game chat lobbies to check if the dodges are true or false but the fact of the matter is is that people who are toxic and decide they do not want to cooperate as a team should not drag down those who are innocent to the situation. Having an option to do that will allow people to avoid toxicity of others without receiving the penalty. However if tribunal finds that the person lied about the reason for dodging then that specific person will get an even greater person for a false report. This obviously is just my advice to Riot games based on experience with this issue. I love this game and I love Riot games as a gaming industry so I'm not doing this out of hate but rather out of concern for the League community.

Thank you and have a great day!

dodging is great i need to do this more often

today i had a guy that afk'd in champ select and he did not swap with me so i was stuck with morgana jungle -.- few games later i had a guy that was autofilled to adc so he "wanted to try this shit imqtpie plays " and picked ziggs adc , he was good at ziggs but shit as ziggs adc. If i dodged those games i would have lost 4lp and i lost 30 and promos....

Dodging in lower elo is the same as waiting in queue in challenger, 5-10 minutes

might as well practice this while getting rid of those pesky trolls

Yea something needs to be done about champ select trolling, I had a game a month back or so where I had a master Yi support who said nothing and I was willing to work with it but then the jungle began ranting about being 0 lp with nothing to lose and locked Orriana Ghost Cleanse jungle because "if you're gonna troll I can too" and I decided to spare my teammates and myself from that and actually had to just take the promo loss
