Reportable Provoking

screw this "reported for offensive language and unsportsman like conduct" bullshit wheres the report button for provoking and antagonizing someone to make them flame and rage. where the fk is the logic in grouping up and all reporting the person for raging and not the person who provoked it. riot needs to get their shit together and realize not everyone can take insults with a grain of salt. some take the whole ocean because they dont want to deal with dumbasses pissing them off. and some people dont like having to mute their team every damn game just because they get provoked. people do not take insults and shit sitting down. get your shit together riot and give us the benefit of the doubt. you dont watch the games so u dont know what is happening that causes us to rage.

Who doesn't side with the majority? That's kind of how things work usually.

Someone "provoking" you can be reported as "verbal harassment." It helps things along if you then type in the WHY and HOW in the description so Riot knows what to look for.

They do?

Riot is the ultimate authority here. They will listen to the majority. But at the end of the day, if Riot decided not to go along with the majority, they don't.

Players don't make policy. They can influence it. But that is all. If you are referring to the Tribunal, that hasn't been active for some time. I still tentatively believe it's gone for good. But that's just me.

If you must retaliate, get your revenge by reporting the jerks. Giggle to yourself as you type out the reporting stating what the jerk did wrong. But make sure it's a legit. False reports won't help anyone least of all you.

that is a damn good response. i honestly didnt know tribunal was down and that i thought for sure rito didnt read the reports because of the tribunal. but again i didnt know tribunal wasnt active.

Tribunal has been confirmed to return for more complex cases. :)

Would you be so kind and point me to a source for that? I've always assumed that would be the most clever way of reimplementing Tribunal, but never saw a redpost confirming my theory.

I read it in a patchnote at some point... Unfortunately I don't remember which one it was, and I don't really have the time to go search for it. ^^;

I know for sure that it's something they were planning to add it again though, albeit their plans might have changed since I read it.

"He started it" is kindergarden mentality my friend. If you retaliate, if you flame in return to get your revenge, you're no better than the guy who may or may not have provoked you.

Thing is, even if you didn't start the argument, you still keep spitting fire against fire, making gameplay very disruptive both for yourself and your teammates. Whilst you type rage in the chat you miss cs, miss opportunities and generally lose focus.

It might be difficult, but try to not continue an argument. Apologize if they're upset over your death and move on. After game you can report them and be happy they'll get what they deserve for flaming you soon enough.

Never use "I only retaliated" as an excuse for your flaming though. You flamed, you're blamed.

well you clearly dont belong in this post do you? no you dont. this is for people who are sick of dumbasses that start shit and then we get the shit end of it. also if they start shit and no one says anything but then you retaliate and you get reported by everyone for defending yourself, how do you expect people to report the person who was offending you. most of the time if 1 person reports it gets ignored so you're logic of of "be happy they'll get what they deserve" wont happen because everyone sides against you. and why the fuck should i apologize if im not the 1 that died or did anything wrong.

Well observed! I am indeed from Europe, and technically I don't belong here at all.

I'm here however, to tell you what the general public think of your mindset. Answer to that is: they don't agree. You're playing the victim, albeit I'm positive you're not as innocent as you try to seem.

1 report is what it takes to trigger an investigation on said match. Your report is no less worth than anyone else's (unless you abused it). Maybe they won't get banned for a single game, but alas Riot has the mentality of giving their players a second change: everyone can have a bad day.

You should apologize to maintain peace within the group. It's also the most effective way of climbing (keep your team focused). Even if you're not in the wrong, it'll be beneficial for you in the long run. Not only do you avoid an argument that is sure to break your winstreak, but you also avoid a permaban. Two in one!

I realize you probably won't listen to what I'm telling you, as you seem like the stubborn kind that refuses to admit they're wrong, but I advice you to think a little beyond your own bubble.

In a democracy that's how things work. Majority means a larger percentage of the population agree. You get your say, but in the end they decide based on what the entire playerbase agrees on.

In this case, the population has decided that flaming isn't cool. Those who agree with you on this matter (aka letting people yell at anyone after someone's written the first toxic words, letting them slide by unnoticed) are the few people willingly breaking Riot's law.

i will rage whoever piss me off, report me big deal idc, I get ban for a certain amount of time then I stop playing for that certain amount of time. if I get permanently ban then I quit. [ League is not the only game in the world].
