Modi1 votesThere are probably is a significantly large chunk of the LoL community who has no clue who Tyler1 is. I have played since season 2 or 3, and I didn't hear about him until all the "free tyler1" threads started popping up. I don't play ranked, so that may have a lot to do with it. That aside, people saying "he is being unbanned" is inaccurate, at best. Most people when they see "ban" they think a normal, permanent ban.

If this is true about the whole honor thing, then the fact that they're using it as a reason to unban him is quite hilarious as I was a complete a'hole to my teammates (oftentimes fullmuting them and ignoring teamfights in favor of my personal gain), yet also got honor 5 in quite a quick timeframe.

They are strictly monitoring his chat and basically anything from small pings to full inting. So far they've not found anything horrible. Even after he's unbanned he will be monitored basically for the rest of his league career.

But he is currently not allowed to make any new accounts. If all goes will he will be able to make new accounts again in January.
This IS being done for anyone who has the same ban as Tyler1, because Tyler1 is the only one with that kind of ban.

it's not really contrary to everything Riot has said. Tlyer1 was on an indefinte player ban. As Rioter Cactopus puts it:
“I’d like to address some confusion I’m seeing about the difference between “account permabans” and bans like the one Tyler1 has. A better name for “indefinite ban” would be “identity level ban” or “ID ban” since it’s about the person. Regardless, we’re not changing our policy around permabanned accounts: Once an account is permabanned, it (almost always, except in rare cases) stays banned. That applies to accounts from ID banned people as well.”
Currently, Tyler1 is not even able to make a new account without it being banned, and THAT is the restriction that is being removed.

the fact that they can't see these post and fake crying videos are just running counter to what they want, because you just end up annoying everyone.
