leavebuster not working properly?

hey guys. i haven't played lol for more than a year, and a week ago i decided to play a match with a friend. when we started the queue, a pop-up appeared that i left a recent game and i must wait for 20 minutes (which resets if u close the popup). i thought maybe it was a bug, so i waited and played a match. a few days later, same thing happens. is anyone having the same issue? please note, the last time i played lol before those 2 matches, it was when Braum came out i think, and there was no leavebuster, and i'm pretty sure i haven't left a game recently (1 year is more than recent, right?) if anyone is having this issue or knows a fix, please reply. i opened a ticket on this, but riot guy basically copy-pasted me a part from the Leavebuster FAQ, which is not helpful also, if you're gona say leavebuster is flawless and super and that im lying, pls go fuck yourself and don't bother to reply. thanks in advance

I don't think the amount of time since Leaverbuster last detected you leaving is especially meaningful. Rather, I think it's based on the number of games since the last leave it detected.

And Leaverbuster was first implemented almost 4 years ago now - though the way it handled punishments has changed fairly significantly since then.

i understand what ure saying but srsly? im sure i had no cooldown or bans on my account, but lets say i left a game for the sake of the argument. months have passed,even the freakin map changed , and i have to wait 20 minutes for me to play a game? can anyone confirm this happened to them also and is just a bug or something? i play lol from the gamezone, not from home, so its a pain in the glory hole for no reason to wait 20 mins.
